# [[The Crimson Order]]
The Crimson Order are a faction that broke apart from [[Order of the Spelldrinkers]]. After [[The Calamity]] happened, they lost faith in [[Erathis]] because they thought she should have been able to prevent all that destruction. Their rage led to the [[The Eve of Crimson Midnight]], when they attempted to kill many mages that they believed were out of control.
## Goals
- Prevent another [[The Calamity|Calamity]], which they believe is going to happen.
- Control the magic users. By killing them, including [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Cerberus Assembly|The Cerberus Assembly]].
- Resurrect [[Vespin Chloras]], whom they also worshipped.
- Release [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Desirat|Desirat]].
- Law and order, because people are flawed.
- To find the shard of [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Asmodeus|Asmodeus]] and use that to help Asmodeus break through [[The Divine Gate]].
- To exacerbate (cause?) the war between [[The Dwendalian Empire]] and [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Kryn Dynasty|Kryn Dynasty]].
- Bring the entire world under the ultimate order of Asmodeus.
- [[Aygonath]] believes that both The Crimson Order and [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Cerberus Assembly|The Cerberus Assembly]] will be going north to find more [[Vestiges of Divergence]].
## What they've done
- They bought (?) three innocents from slavers in the north. [[Selussa]] was one of the "innocents". The cultists severed their hands, arranged them in a circle, and nailed them to an altar. Later, we watched [[Mesa|Ilbane]] push the victims into a hole through the skydoor in the [[Observatory of the Sun and Moon#Sacrificial Chamber]].
- [[Kai Arness]] bought [[The Slave Shed]] tieflings, including [[Music]], for [[Ionos Jagentoth]], who experimented on using their blood to bring back [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Asmodeus|Asmodeus]]. He was in league with [[Mesa|Ilbane]] in this.
- They killed our horses in an attempt to waylay us while we were on our way to [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Nicodranas|Nicodranas]]!
## Relationships with other factions
### Allies
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Kryn Dynasty|Kryn Dynasty]]: The Cult attempted to force [[Crown Marshal Hayden Damurag|Hayden Damurag]] to stop attacking [[Ashguard Garrison]].
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Jagentoth Family|The Jagentoths]]: Now dead.
- [[The Ninth Revelation]]: Civilian branch of the Crimson Order.
### Enemies
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Cerberus Assembly|The Cerberus Assembly]] are trying to do the same thing, but they don't like each other and want to kill each other. In [[The Eve of Crimson Midnight]], the Crimson Order very nearly succeeded. The Order wants to destroy the Cerberus Assembly.
- [[The Augen Trust]]: [[Telva Cornwrath]] suspected that the Jagentoths were involved, and wanted to stop them from upsetting the balance of power.
- [[The Cobalt Soul]]: [[Archivist Adon Zeenoth|Zeenoth]] wanted [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Grovelthrash|Grovelthrash]] and seemed interested in stopping the spread of corruption in [[Veluthil Forest]].
- [[The Night Back Clan]]: The tabaxi clan would do anything to protect [[Veluthil Forest]].
- [[The Pallid Elves]]: Our people were driven underground for centuries because of Torog, and then tortured and enslaved.
- [[The Fire Giants]]: They *used* to be allies with the Crimson Order and made an agreement for [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Desirat|Desirat]] to power their forges, but instead, the Order reversed the energy flow and used the forges to power up Desirat.
### Mixed/Unclear
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Myriad|The Myriad]]: [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Jagentoth Family|The Jagentoths]] were a prominent Myriad family, but Ionos broke Myriad agreements about the treatment of slaves and earned the ire of [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Gentleman|The Gentleman]] and of [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Mardoon Family|The Mardoons]].
- [[The Dwendalian Empire]]: The Cult kidnapped [[Floyd Hemsworth|Crownsguard Douche]], but [[Kai Arness]] also ordered slaves for [[Ionos Jagentoth]].
## Relationships with [[Deities of Exandria]]
### Allies
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Torog|Torog]]: The cultists in [[Observatory of the Sun and Moon]] were in the middle of a ritual to Torog involving cutting off victims' hands.
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Quajath|Quajath]]: Quajath was Torog's minion, and its body is in Eiselcross being fed on.
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Asmodeus|Asmodeus]]: [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Jagentoth Family|The Jagentoths]] worshipped Asmodeus and sought to reincarnate a shard of Asmodeus by using tiefling blood. Asmodeus's betrayal caused the loss of [[The Star of the Morning|The Morning Star]].
### Enemies
- [[Raei]] helped lure Torog aboveground.
- [[Pelor]] killed Torog with 10,000 lances of sunlight.
- [[Sehanine]] and [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Moradin|Moradin]] built the King's Cage that trapped Torog.
- [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Melora|Melora]]'s [[Veluthil Forest]] was corrupted by [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/Grovelthrash|Grovelthrash]].
