# [[The Star of the Morning]]
![[twc-morning-star.png]]
[[Karmilla Duskbloom|The tiefling]] has dreamt that this powerful artifact (consecrated to [[Raei]] and charged by her light) should be combined with [[The Evening Moon]]. Perhaps they can, together, thwart [[The Ninth Revelation]]'s plans to bring darkness to Exandria.
According to [[038_20220208 Books Don't Like Me#^295482|the tiefling and Wally's research]], this may be found in [[Molaesmyr]] inside [[Veluthil Forest]]. We did find it in [[Strangled Spring]], on the way to Molaesmyr, on [[060_20220816 His last quest]].
## Abilities
Once a day it can do a solar flare and potentially blind creatures. You can shine ultraviolet light. Combined with [[The Evening Moon]] it can be a superweapon: the eclipse. Innate dunamantic magic.
## Description
> *Dawn*. As an action you can cause morning star to shine a gloriously bright light at all creatures within a 20-foot cone. Each creature in the area must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or become blinded until the end of your next turn. One you use this property, you can’t do so again until the following dawn.
>
> *Ultraviolet*. After you use the Dawn property, but before the next dawn, you can use an action to cause morning star to shine a focused beam of ultraviolet light in a 50-foot line. Each creature in the area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 8d6 radiant damage on a failure, or half as much damage on a success. Once you use this property, you can’t do so again until you activate Dawn again.
