They discovered that Nelson Seidel had been pretending to be the Spirit of the Lake and using the offerings to pay off his debt to The Myriad, represented by Orzala. Orzala promised to forgive Nelson's debt if they framed Starosta Wossathic for the disappearing offerings and if they delivered "ice" to Hupperdook via Nogvurot. The party agreed. > > On the way to Hupperdook, the party encountered a hag named Frieda, who made a deal with Wally to give him the ability to message others from afar if he promised to bring her favourite ring back "before the sun and moons collide". Wally sealed the deal with a kiss. > > The party got to Hupperdook and were met with a massive explosion, plus five exploding kobolds. The Watchmaster asked them to retrieve Sken, a prisoner who had escaped from Gearhole Prison, and find out what the deal was with the kobolds. They eventually did, finding and killing Sken and the kobolds and rescuing Nima, who told them the story of a man named Stahlmast, a disgruntled ex-engineer of the Dwendalian Empire who was the mastermind of Sken's prison break and more... he wanted revenge on the Empire, and he was going to use explosives to do it. > > The party were asked by the Watchmaster to capture or kill Stahlmast. They eventually tracked him down just as he entered his Stahlmaster machine. They destroyed the machine and killed Stahlmast. Afterwards, they found out he'd been working with the Kryn Dynasty. The party got paid for their murder of Stahlmast, and then met the Starosta Emma Zezbok, where they delivered the filigree fox. Milla bedded Floyd for the first time. > > We went to Vermeillon and found it deserted. We discovered from the ruins of the Starosta's house that the town had slowly been turned into meenlocks, creatures that fed on people's fears. We found Nihana Chist and were able to get some information from her about a temple to Raei near the observatory, taken over by a cult that wanted to bring darkness to Exandria. We went to the temple and stopped the cultists there from completing a ritual. Along the way we found corpses with their hands cut off and a J tattooed onto them, including the corpse of Selussa, someone from Scura's past. During the battle, the red-skinned tiefling Ilbane/Mesa that was in charge of everything escaped. Luckily, we did, too, before the whole place (which apparently was a volcano) erupted. > > We made our way to Zadash, but we spent some time with some kuo-toa who were quick to create gods and imbue them with real abilities. Wally became one of their gods. We ended up killing one of their other gods on our way out of that swamp, oops. We got to Berleben and learned of the tensions between the villagers there and the kuo-toa, brought about by the fact that the swamp was being drained. > > We got to Zadash and met The Gentleman to deliver a bunch of explosives to him. He offered us two jobs: to unblock the tunnels under Zadash that he used for smuggling, and to take a copy of the little black book that General Hemsworth kept in his study. We decided not to do either for him, but ended up still doing both. > > We killed the fatberg that was blocking the sewers, but not without casualties-- Reya succumbed to her wounds. We brought her to the Shrine of the Dawn, where Pelor's priests raised her, causing a shift in Scura's loyalties. We then decided to do the heist, though the Gentleman said he'd already sent other operatives. We were successful in stealing the book, despite having to attend a fancy charity ball and navigating the awkwardness of stealing from Floyd's dad. However, Floyd was kidnapped that night-- by the same slavers that had sold the dead slaves in Vermeillon. They were from the Jagentoth family. > > We went to Reya's old home, the orphanage, where Reya ended up adopting a half-elven girl named Mezelya. We left her in the hands of the Cobalt Soul as we headed for Nogvurot to follow Floyd's trail. > > In Nogvurot, we picked up on the trail of the missing children and eventually found out that the children were Luxonborn who had remembered previous lives spent in the Kryn Dynasty and were voluntarily returning to Xhorhas. We also found out that Wally was one of the Luxonborn. > > We eventually got to Shadycreek Run, where the Jagentoths lived. We sought an alliance with Ophelia Mardoon, who asked us to find her niece Ahrisa, and her boyfriend Oenn Jagentoth. We agreed, meeting Misty Grove along the way and losing Pin permanently to becoming a zombie. Reya began to display troubling signs of an allegiance to Lolth. > > With the help of our friends the korreds, we found our way to the Caes Mosor, where we retrieved the favourite ring of Auntie Frieda but ended up killing all three of the hags and taking the spoils for ourselves, including an incredibly evil artifact called Grovelthrash, thereafter dubbed The Leaky Cucumber. We met a friend of Misty's named Halkin, who joined us for the fun of utterly blowing up the Jagentoth's Obsidian Keep. We killed all of the Jagentoths, especially Ionos (who turned out to be in league with Ilbane, whom we killed then too) and then found out that Sulia in particular had been a secret worshipper of Asmodeus. We met Dax, who joined the party! We also rescued Music and other tieflings that had been kept there as slaves. > > The eclipse, "when the sun and moons collide", finally happened. In it, our gods (Raei and Sehanine) told us to find Aygonath, a gold dragon whose breath could destroy Grovelthrash, and that he could be found on the Dragon Isles. Raei also restored Xenia from his paralysis. Telmyr from the Shrine of Ioun teleported us to Zadash, but got the place wrong and we ended up on the outskirts, where we were attacked by Tar Oozes. After we dispatched them, we found a secret stash with the stuff we'd delivered to The Gentleman. Scura's secret came out: she'd been in cahoots with The Gentleman this whole time, feeding him information and also getting some in return. We went to The Evening Nip to confront him, but that confrontation was cut short when a Volstrucker came looking for us. The Gentleman gave us back our vials of blood, but it was clear that that relationship had soured even though he helped us escape. > > We sailed down one of The Gentleman's secret smuggling tunnels towards Trostenwald. We stopped in a small town called Alfield, where Bryce, a guard that had helped Mezelya escape, let Wally know he was part of the new Church of Raei. We gained a pet blink dog named Arcos and got to Trostenwald, where a hooked bartender named Noah told us the story of his encounter with someone named Pearl of the Beach and a golden dragon, both of whom saved him from a shipwreck. > > On our way to Nicodranas, we got into combat with some Hill Giants that had set up camp by the gate to the Menagerie Coast. We killed them and their ogre companions, and learned that they'd been displaced from "Fire River". > > After a rude awakening where someone killed our horses in the night, we decided to ride a roc into Nicodranas and somehow managed to do it without getting ourselves killed, by the ballistas or by griffon riders. We found Pearl of the Beach, who put us through something called The Divine Trials when we asked about how to get a meeting with Aygonath. At the end, we interrupted a ritual where they were trying to resurrect Vespin Chloras, the powerful archmage that had tried and failed to ascend to godhood. In stopping the ritual, we also acquired the Soulfire Sacrifice, a powerful sword forged by Raei. We would later use this to defeat Desirat. > > We went back to Nicodranas, and then we teleported to Kamordah, where we met Misty Grove, who arrived just in time to help us fight some magma mephits. We helped put out the fires, then met Faelee, a firbolg who knew the way to Vuthos. We snuck into the estate of a suspicious noble, Lyari Errenath, and found out she was involved in the cult of Asmodeus. She had been smuggling slaves in as victims for the ritual underneath her estate! > > We followed the underground cave system beneath the Errenath estate, killed Lyari Errenath, and met a new friend named Nika who joined the party. Nika showed us the way to Vuthos, the Fire Giant City, where we were sure that Aygonath's eggs and Desirat lay waiting. > > In Vuthos, we rescued Sybell Truscan (whom we promptly got killed, probably) along with other slaves (that we definitely got killed). We did manage to save one of them, Merilda, who somehow stayed alive while we teleported to the Hellfire Prison, killed cultists left and right, interrupted rituals at multiple spots, killed Kai Arness (who turned out to be Nika's father, oops), Floella Hemsworth (Floyd's mum, double oops), and a bald man called Exarch Vornex.
