# [[004_20220410 Kill a worm then we all die]] ## Session Summary > [!abstract] [[004_20220410 Kill a worm then we all die]] > > We woke up in the same greenhouse with the singing children, and everyone we'd killed was there again. I opened the door on the other end of the tunnel and saw a void. Gilbert went through it backwards, and I followed suit. We returned to the room with the sarcophagus, but Teros took a while to join us. When he finally did, he was missing an eye... and he'd also taken some damage from the liquid he'd poured into his eye socket. > > We went into the Room of Psychedelic Lights, where we saw two skeletons playing the violin on top of a tall pillar rising from a deep pit. They played a "brown note", an impossibly low note that we felt rather than heard, and a gigantic worm appeared from the depths of the pit! We kill it quickly, thanks in a large part to Gilbert and the sharp rocks he'd previously gathered. > > We retraced our steps a bit to explore a room we hadn't explored before, west of the Guard Room. It turned out to contain a jail cell filled with ravenous dead or undead creatures that attacked us, wanting to eat us. We kept going to the west and found ourselves in a corridor that led to the dining room on the south and an opening to the north where there were paintings of different landscapes. Unfortunately, before we could explore further, we fell into a trap and died! ^summary ## Recap of last session ![[003_20220327 Living it up in the Greenhouse California#^summary]] --- ## Log Misery: 2 _Out of bed, daisyheads_ [[Lesdy Lucy]] remembers a boy, but he was never here... she heard voices from the birds. I open the door from the tunnel... there is a dark swirling void, reminiscent of what's beyond the greenhouse. We all step into it, are out of time and space for a second, and then we come back. Lesdy is after [[Fletcher]], but she can't do that until the worm is gone. The worm can't come here-- Lesdy made sure of that. This place is safe. Gilbert and I go backwards into the hole and disappear into the void. Teros gives Lesdy a hug. She offers him a gift: a pot. In exchange, he gives her toe clippings. She doesn't seem like she wants them, but then she tells him he can leave. He does, diving into the door past the end of the tunnel, but just reappears back in the garden... without an eye. Apparently, Lesdy takes if we do not give. When Gilbert and I walk backwards, we go back to the [[The Accursed Den#Room of Psychedelic Lights]]. We return to the garden by way of the chained sarcophagus and ask Teros to walk backwards with us. We then go back to the Room of Psychedelic Lights. - North: passage has collapsed, but there is a cavern that is 60 ft deep. Bottom filled with gunk. - Past the cavern: haze, sulfuric haze. - In the middle of the cavern, there is a 50-foot pillar coming out of the gunk. On top are two skeletons playing the violin. This is the music we're hearing. - Pink, violet gems are fixed to the walls. - East: archway to the chain room (sarcophagus) Sarcophagus room - North: Iron door with no handle Gilbert successfully pries three emeralds from the wall (200 sp each). We hear a "brown note", a note that is so low it makes us crap our pants. We feel it more than we can hear it audibly. A large worm comes out from the cavern! Initiative! It's thick as an oak. Damage to it: 20+18 I cast Aegis of Sorrow on Teros. - [x] 1 - [x] 2 - [x] 3 - [ ] 4 - [ ] 5 - [ ] 6 - [ ] 7 - [ ] 8 - [ ] 9 - [ ] 10 Teros heals me for 7. Gilbert chucks 12 sharp rocks into the mouth of the worm We try to open the door to the north. It's an outie, not an innie-- but there is no handle and no crack. We go to the door west of the Guard Room. There is a repulsive stench of bodies that are piled on top of each other. They seem to be human bones, but some of them don't even look like humans... but that might be just because they've been treated badly. ![[mörk-borg-jail-cells.png]] There are prisoners there and they grab me as I get too close to the bars! They try to bite my arm. They attack us, but we eventually detach from them. There is a door further to the west. There is a long corridor. South is the dining room. The corridor goes north.
