During our patrol, we apprehended a thief and a little boy who was using a stolen wand to distract people so that the thief could steal some things from onlookers. It is situated the Menagerie Coast, surrounded on the West are subtropical forests and grasslands. In session zero, the PCs will be inducted into the City Watch by Lyza. > > Recently, there has been an uptick in strange events. A Roc flew over the city and crash landed just by the Open Quay. A cart it appeared to be carrying was devoid of passengers on investigation. Just a few days later, a huge explosion was heard from the direction of Dragon Isle, shrouded in cloud. Minutes later, a small tidal wave flooded the coast, damaging ships, shops and causing some loss of life. Some believe they saw a golden dragon flying across the ocean and, later, across the city. These have been dismissed as fairytales or trauma-induced hallucinations. > > The city is divided into a number of City Watches of Crownsguard who cooperate and compete with the Zhelezo in equal measure. In The Restless Wharf area is watched by the Captain of the Guard, Lyza. She is a former adventurer herself, and as such she knows the value of having magic users and rogues on her team. Lyza says the thief's name is [[Hux]], part of a [[Smuggling Crew|smuggling and thieving crew]]. They found more purses in Hux's arse. The boy [[Miguel]] was working as a distraction. Lyza wants us to take back someone's baby! A woman says a flying monster took her baby, [[Billy]]. Something took it and flew off. We grab horses and get to a grassy plain. We find a sack of gold coins. Combat!
