We go back to [[Giggling Gargoyle]]. [[Porky]] gives us a riddle. Three hands, three feet, three eyes: two pirates apparently. Lord Athesias Uludan, lover of riddles, distant cousin of Marquis Zhafe Uludan, is going to be there. Known to be a respected mage of [[ttrpgs/Temporary White Circle/The Cerberus Assembly|The Cerberus Assembly]] and used to be a teacher of the [[THe Soltryce Academy]]. The Open Hero Championship, aka The Escape Dungeon. Marquis pays for the City Watch to submit one group and that's us! [[Lyza]] thinks we're promising. We are The Ale Sniffers. The event is by [[The Opal Archways]]. Long rest! The next day... We hear a booming voice... "Welcome to the Open Hero Championship... or the Escape Dungeon." They introduce us as the Ale Sniffers. There are other adventuring parties. - The Enigmas: woman with red hair, wizard with yellow beard, heavily tattooed man with a shaved head. - There are about two or three other parties. We just have to get through quicker than the others. The one thing that would get our team disqualified is to die... anything else is fair game. Talking to some functionary with Nelmyne​ard. He has a mind like a steel trap. First room has a table: - There's an 8-sided die made of brass. (Amina) - Small scarlet fish. (Amina, via Mage Hand) - Small drawstring pouch. (Falhorn) - half a dozen pebbles. - Piece of parchment tied up with string. (Plim) - Silver key broken into two halves. (Selox) Voice: "Take one item each from the table" Door is open and there's a sign: "Right or Left, Take your pick. Gain or pain, Treat or trick." I rush to the left. Falhorn goes right. Left went to a pit. Room 3 - Torches alight on sconces - In front: door with three silver locks. - Like a salon - Three giant paintings on the western side - Forest - Icy plain/landscape - Frozen - Pretty slippery flight of steps. There's a silver key there on a shelf at the top of the steps. - Mountains - Rope bridge stretching out across a chasm to a pillor of rock about 50 feet away. Falhorn touches the forest one. - Silver nail on the trunk of a tall tree and a minotaur. You can put your hand through. - Inside is a minotaur with a helmet strapped to its horns. It has a visor that is covering its eyes. ![[1710275510557 - Combat]] We go into the icy thing. Used mage hand to grab it and left. WE go into the first room, with the minotaur. Plim sneaks past it and it tries to hit him but misses. We get the third key! But do it wrong and you might die. - parchment has a circle with a radius. Open the door THere's an owlbear in a cage. 8 brass levers on the floor next to it. d8 lands on 6 - we pull the sixth lever. 6th room ![[Pasted image 20240312222129.png]] There's some sort of tree thing! - "Do not follow the instruction on this sign. Do the opposite." *You must not refrain from not going through the door on the right.* You must refrain from not going right = you must go right opposite: left Barnacle Betty is the red haired woman!!!! And they win
