# [[The Voidstone]]

The Voidstone is my name for the pendant that got [[Calliope Nightshade|Calliope]] in contact with [[ttrpgs/The Great Dark/Candela Obscura|Candela Obscura]] in the first place. She was approached to find a this family heirloom but when she did, she got sick from it. Candela Obscura took it off her hands and also recruited her at that point.
The pendant is a dark purple/black gem that seems to absorb the light. It's large and quite striking. What Candela Obscura found out was that inside the gem is some sort of magickal smoke entity that can be unleashed to assassinate someone of the wielder's choosing. Calliope was hired by a family that had long since used it to get rid of its enemies, and she found it in a workshop where the people who had stolen it were trying to use it for their own benefits but only partially succeeded. Unfortunately, the partial success also caused [[Bleed]] to seep out of it, hurting Calliope a bit until Candela Obscura saved her.
