# [[009_20210110 Asari's Mother]]
## Session Summary
Lira and Ora delivered Asari's letter to her mother, who told them that Asari had been threatened by someone named Waldorf and that Asari had to leave Nicodranas to hide from him. Asari's mother asked them to look for Asari and find out why she had disappeared.
Meanwhile, Boris stayed with Dragen and Pixie, who proposed that he help them make a breastplate. They admitted that they're having trouble keeping up with demand, and that a few of their shipments have been confiscated by the Clovis Concord, making some of Dragen's clients angry. Pixie also asked Boris to pick up an important package from Dragen's brother Hektor, in Port Damali, if he gets the chance.
After Lira and Ora buy some potions of healing (and a couple bags of skein dust from the creepy proprietor, Lucratia), we all met up at a magic shop owned by the cleric couple, Iantha and Linus, and look at all the cool things we can't yet afford.
That night, Boris had a dream where he is Kogas Ironcutter again, and he and Leylas are attempting to find out what the orb does. He touched it and saw a line of different possibilities and different people, including Boris. When he woke up, he learned he now has a mote of possibility.
Ora received a worrying telepathic message from her father, who mentioned a war and urged her to use a passphrase, "bringing many gifts", to guards at a border if she needs to cross back over to go home. She met up with Silva, who trained her further on how to use her abilities. Silva also revealed a bit more about how she knew Ora's mother in Palebank Village, in the Greying Wildlands. As Ora went back to her room at [[The Bloated Cup]], she heard noises from CTE's room. She yelled out to CTE from outside. After a brief pause, CTE opened her door and invited her in, where Ora saw a distraught Dajarkal, who said that her brother, Hardrak, is dead. ^summary

## Strong start
- [[Ashleth]] tells us that her daughter, [[Asari]], usually sends her a letter regularly, but this time, she didn't, and Ashleth took it upon herself to send a messenger to Nicodranas to figure out why. Asari is missing, and she's not sure why.
## Scenes

> At 3rd level, your soul is marked for endless battle. If a spell, such as __[raise dead](https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/raise-dead)__, has the sole effect of restoring you to life (but not undeath), the caster doesn’t need material components to cast the spell on you.
