# [[030_20210703 The Dragon's Hoard]] ## Session Summary Jamedi managed to heal Ora into consciousness, but not before Ora overheard a conversation about her own life between what seemed to be two entities that had been called by two different people. Vokodo did his best to keep us on our toes, rendering both Eryn and Jamedi unconscious at different points. One of his Fire Breaths nearly knocked Ora unconscious, but an alchemical skunk turned into Viridan, then Jannika Jäger, and then finally a fire snake that knocked Ora out of the way and into safety. During the fight, Three Earrings looked for the orb, and finally dove down into the magma pool to find it. Ora dove in after her, attemping to help, but is surprised when Three Earrings takes the orb from her and reveals that she wants to release Uk'otoa, as he is the source of her newfound abilities. Ora managed to convince her to talk things out, but we did not reach a consensus on what to do with the orb. The party investigated the remains of the dragon's horde, some of which had unfortunately been lost due to a malicious swipe of the dragon's tail earlier, but still came out of the fight with quite a hoard. ^summary ## Housekeeping ## Recap ![[029_20210627 Lair of the Guardian#^summary]] ## Quest [[The Rumble at Rumblecusp]] ## Strong start It's Jamedi's turn. Boris, since you're the closest, you did see him run into the cavern, size up the situation, and immediately kneel by Ora. He started muttering words in a very guttural language that sounds like a human's approximation of grinding stone and rushing waters. And once, in Draconic, you hear him yell "You still owe me!" as he tilts his palms up-- then turns and BAM, slams them onto Ora's lifeless chest with a grayish, smoky energy that looks like it might suffocate Ora, but instead makes her involuntarily take a breath. She's still unconscious and lying limp in Jamedi's arms, but you sense that whatever Jamedi did, he's managed to take her from the brink of death - for now. ## Scenes - [x] Ora hears a discussion between the Raven Queen and the Moonweaver. > You're in darkness, and you hear Jamedi's voice echo and reach you before you see him. He's calling out to you, trying to find you, but when you see him, his flesh is bleak and gray and his eyes white. Despite his appearance, you trust him, reach out your hand, and he physically yanks you back into life. But in the limbo between death and life, you hear two other voices. > One voice reminds you of Lira, but it's not Lira. It's a voice of the evening wind across an upturned face, of the way the moonlight illuminated the large tree you took comfort in. "One of yours?" it says. > Another voice responds. It's darker, and it sounds like a long sigh that has come to a close. "Not this one. (Initiative 16, after Vokodo) - [x] Three Earrings searches for the orb. ## Secrets and Clues - [ ] Eryn is a rogue/paladin who was sent like a trophy to marry Eluun, the Banoranth prince. However, she found to her surprise that she actually liked him, despite the deeds of his father. - [x] Three Earrings has been having nightmares as Uk'otoa warns her she will be punished if she does not do as he commands: take the orb. Break the chains. Set him free. - [ ] Vokodo has been using the Mother to help him protect the orb. He's pretended to go along with her dream of kobolds joining the skies with dragons. - [x] Vokodo is magically and physically trapped inside this volcano by Tiamat, who has promised that his constant service in protecting the orb will earn him his freedom someday. - [ ] Jamedi is technically undead. He made a pact with the Raven Queen to take his life and bring back the life of his beloved, but even the Raven Queen had not been able to bring her back. - [x] Vokodo loves nothing more than to have shiny things in his lair to own. - [x] The Luxon has begun to call out to Vokodo due to the presence of the Beacon among his many treasures. It has awakened in him the spark of dissatisfaction for Tiamat's eternal prison. - [x] Three Earrings has decided that she is going to set Uk'otoa free. She is unable to live with a version of herself that doesn't have powers. - [ ] Lira has wings, but will only use them in dire situations. - [ ] ## NPCs - [x] [[Jannika Jäger|Viridian]] - Jannika will take damage meant for Ora, should it come to that. - As soon as her memory returns for her, she will drop everything and seek out Ora.
