We got a small dragon(tree)'s hoard, consisting of several gems, a fire opal skull, and a pair of sending stones from dragontree leaves that had hardened into stone. > > Heading to the Shipwreck Caves, Orly told you about a group of four that had taken one of the ships (*The Misty Sorcerer*) despite Orly's attempts to stop them. They called themselves the Grim Accord. You found that there was a temporary settlement growing at the shipyard as people who wanted to leave began to move there to work on ships themselves. Orly gave you both tattoos (which Ora handled like a champ). Boris got a diamond dragon tattoo around his belly button that improved his constitution, and Ora got an emerald tattoo around her neck and collarbone that improved her dexterity. > > Boris decided to start construction of the Dragon Slayer's Keep, populated initially by those from the Town of the Forgotten. She told Ora what she'd learned about the curse on the ship *The Drunken Prince*. She believed that the curse was to switch back the bodies and personalities of Vokodo and his dragonleaf tree. > > The mining effort was begun, with the miners reporting back that a rich granite deposit had been found after a week's worth of prospecting. Then, without moving, he turns to the closest dryad, shifts his grip on the green-flame scimitar, and attempts to plunge it into the dryad's chest. > He rolls a 10 to hit, but remembers the Moonweaver's blessing and rolls a 4, and connects with the dryad's shoulder at a 14 as the dryad shifts just in time to protect its heart. He does 15 damage to it, the green flame from Jamedi's scimitar licking its shoulder, and then jumping to the next dryad over as it recoils from the pain. He does 9 damage to that one too. That's his turn. > It's the dragonleaf's turn, leaves still swaying, now moving unnaturally, like snakes looking for an opening. Then they all rear back, as if bracing themselves... and suddenly all shoot forward as a barrage of fire comes shooting out of the tree in a 30-foot cone, hitting Jamedi, Boris, and Ora. The tree is soundless, but there is a roaring in the sudden burst of fire and you can't help but think this is a tactic you've seen before. > Make a Dexterity saving throw, and remember that you are all Blessed, so add a d4.
