# [[044_20211205 Coming Hither]] ## Session Summary > [!info] [[044_20211205 Coming Hither]] > You found yourselves in the Feywild, in the domain of Prismeer, on top of a broken highway above a fetid swamp. Kettlesteam and Topplepot are nowhere to be seen. You made your way down to the swamp using the glowing shelf mushrooms, and you headed towards a crashing balloon that Ora saw streak across the sky. > > You encountered half a dozen rabbit-like brigands who were chanting a song about someone named Agton Longscarf, whom they called "the brigand prince of Prismeer". The harengons demanded that the party give them one memory of happy delight upon receiving a gift, at which point Boris surrendered the memory of the Plank King's first gift: a night with two busty elven women. The brigand leader, Jebbek, gave you information in exchange. She told you about the rules of reciprocity, hospitality, and ownership, and also gave some more information about the three realms of Prismeer: Hither (where you are now), Thither, and Yon. > > To everyone's surprise, Jebbek said that everyone who wanders into Prismeer either has already lost something, or loses something upon entering, and she helpfully told the party which realms their lost items were in. Boris's was in Yon, Ora's was in Thither, and Flint's was in Hither. Lira and Jamedi did not meet Jebbek. > > At the Slanty Tower, you rescued the faerie dragon Sir Talavar thanks to a well-used Dispel Magic by Nav, and he suggested that Zybilna had been frozen in time somehow by the three witches, and that she was likely with the third hag in Yon. > > Taking a short rest inside the Slanty Tower, Ora discovered a hatch under the rug and acrobatically introduced herself to the wide-eyed beauty blinking up at her from inside the secret room underneath: Dawn. ^summary %% <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NGNHyDlwzkI" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> %% --- ## Housekeeping ## Recap ![[043_20211120 The Crossing in the Carnival#^summary]] ## Strong start > One by one, you step through the mirror in the Hall of Illusions. Just before you do, Mr Witch warns you that you'll need to find another way back, because the mirror only works one way. > His voice echoes in this tunnel-like vortex you find yourself in: Mind the Rule of Three: future, present, past. Find the alicorn and free the dormant queen at last. > It's an unsettling experience because until your eyes move through the mirror as well, you can't see anything, but your hands feel the humidity of a place very different from the one you came from. ## Scenes - [x] Arrival in [[Hither]]. Topplepot is gone. So is Kettlesteam. - [x] Balloon crashes (DC 18 Perception): > In the distant sky, you spot a great balloon made of patchwork material. It spins out of control as though punctured, causing the wicker basket that hangs from it to swing wildly. The balloon plunges out of sight, disappearing into the fog approximately a mile away. - [x] Getting to the bottom of the [[Hither#Queen's Way]]: > Sticky mud squelches beneath your feet. Tangled mangroves grow out of pools of rippling water, half hidden by the thick fog, and purple mushrooms cling to rotting logs and stumps scattered throughout the marsh. Crickets that glow like fireflies chirp serenely before they’re snatched out of the air by the tongues of hungry frogs. - [ ] Prismeer reactions to emotion - [ ] Positive: `dice: [[Prismeer#^positivereaction]]` - [x] Negative: `dice: [[Prismeer#^negativereaction]]` - [x] Low tide encounters: `dice: [[Hither#^encounterlowtide]]` - [x] Swamp water level changes and is now at 5 feet. Those with no swimming speed move at half speed through the water, visibility underwater is 10 feet. - [x] High tide encounters: `dice: [[Hither#^encounterhightide]]` - [ ] Flint will create a rapier for Jamedi and give it a +1 during the long rest ## Secrets and Clues - [x] [[Zybilna]] of Prismeer is frozen in time. - [ ] Pride's Call Silk is made from silkworks that eat the leaves of a special silkberry tree grown from seeds that have something to do with something called the [[Mightingale Spider]], found only in [[Prismeer]]. - [x] [[Topplepot]] is in her beautiful-but-dumb phase, Dawn. - [x] [[Bavlorna Blightstraw]] lives in a spooky cottage on stilts at the heart of [[Downfall]], a bullywug settlement. The bullywugs of Downfall are quite courteous and welcoming, provided one does not offend them. - [x] Bavlorna has the ability to conjure minions that look like tiny versions of herself. - [x] Bavlorna has two sisters whom she loathes. Together, the three hags form the Hourglass Coven. Using an artifact called Iggwilv’s Cauldron, the coven has frozen time in Zybilna’s palace, trapping the archfey inside. - [ ] A goblin named [[Jingle Jangle]] has the key to [[Sir Talavar]]’s birdcage. She lives atop [[Hither#Telemy Hill]], not too far from [[Hither#Slanty Tower]]. - [x] Only those who have lost something are allowed to enter Prismeer. - [x] Lira has lost her hat.
