# [[048_20220116 Caleb the Galeb Duhr]]
## Session Summary
You had just entered [[Downfall]], the city of the bullywugs where the hag of [[Hither]] resides. The bullywugs you met seemed a little dull, but not unfriendly, and some of them suggested you meet with their king. Boris briefly steered his rowboat towards the center of the foggy swamp, where you later learned that [[Bavlorna Blightstraw|Bavlorna]] lives.
You went past two bullywugs repairing a balloon that looked to be of similar construction to the one that [[Sir Talavar]] crashed in. You went across the stones to the northern bank of the settlement, and Boris accidentally stepped on a Galeb Duhr called Caleb who was initially upset, but calmed down when Boris apologized. You continued past a balloon factory that was still on fire, with animated coals that had been put there by arsonists, according to the bullywug there, who called himself Duke Ickrind. Grateful for your help, he gave you a brooch with fluttering insect wings, which he said was a token to present to the king, [[His Royal Majesty Gullop XIX]].
You went across a wooden bridge, where there were heads of previously deposed or murdered bullywug monarchs, who were eager to talk about the circumstances of their death and gossip about when Gullop XIX would be next. You also met a scarecrow with a gourd head named [[Clapperclaw]], who said that he missed his stag head, and was thrilled when Boris gave him [[Agdon Longscarf]]'s severed head. He offered to be a pilot, should you acquire a balloon to take you to Thither, since he was from Thither.
You continued across the bridge to where you had been told [[His Royal Majesty Gullop XIX]] could be found. ^summary

## Housekeeping
- Purified Phoenix Tear and Gorgon Scale Armor have been added to D&D Beyond.
- Psychic Whispers is still up for 5 more hours.
- It's about 12:00, so Psychic Whispers will be up until 17:00
## Recap
- Asked [[Heymat Sol]] about the flying carpets in [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/Port Damali]], and he mentioned they were from [[Pride's Call]]
- He said he could enchant the carpets, but specific [[Pride's Call silk]] to make the carpets was a closely-guarded secret and in short supply
- On your way to Pride's Call to find out the secret (and maybe get some silk for a carpet), you encountered the Witchlight Carnival
- You met [[Kettlesteam]] and [[Topplepot]], both of whom had been tracking the Carnival.
- Kettlesteam's powers stemmed from an archfey [[Zybilna]], who had gone quiet
- Topplepot's (Diesa's) family legacy depended on her knowing what to do, but her father wouldn't tell her what it was.
- You got Mr Witch and Mr Light to tell you how to get to Prismeer through the Hall of Illusions. They, too, seemed not entirely on the side of the hags in Prismeer, but they were on some sort of contract.

## Scenes
- [x] Entering [[Downfall]] and meeting two bullywugs
- [ ] Meeting [[His Royal Majesty Gullop XIX]]
- [ ] Learning of the revolution
- [ ] Going into [[Bavlorna's Cottage]]
## Secrets and Clues
- [x] [[Zybilna]] liked to shapeshift for anonymity.
- [x] Zybilna had the power to give one Answer to a single question - for a fee.
- [x] Zybilna's real name was Iggwilv. Mortals call her Tasha. She was the stepsister of [[The Hourglass Coven]].
- [x] [[Bavlorna Blightstraw]] doesn't trust anyone but herself, so she makes copies of herself and uses them as servants.
- [x] [[Bavlorna Blightstraw]] distrusts her sisters, especially [[Skabatha Nightshade]], but they are begruding allies in keeping [[Prismeer]] in their grasp.
- [ ] Bavlorna spends a lot of time bathing in a pool in her cottage.
- [ ] There is a revolution brewing in Downfall. [[Illig]] is plotting to overthrow [[His Royal Majesty Gullop XIX]].
- [ ] Gullop wants to be rid of Bavlorna, but is too scared to rise against her in a physical confrontation.
- [ ] Before [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Fivethe Calamity]], the protective magic of the Feywild made people forget they were there entirely. With the gods locked away, only traces of that magic lingers, but it's enough to cause people to "lose" either items or knowledge.
- [ ] [[Bavlorna Blightstraw]] is obsessed with the past.
