Fortunately, Ora managed to grit her teeth and break past the icy prison crystallizing around her and escaped to the relative safety of Bavlorna's cottage, where the rest of the party waited for the witch. The witch never showed up. The party investigated the rest of the hag's house, finding two victims of Bavlorna's cruelty: an older woman named Bloody Toes, sentenced to a lifetime of butchery to get over the death of a beloved pet; and Rubin, a halfling man who had been scorned by his love and whose heart had gotten ripped out by Bavlorna. You also found evidence of Bavlorna's mixed relationship with her sisters: two ways to contact them (messenger taxidermy birds and the talking tablet) and a clue about Skabatha Nightshade. Apparently, Skabatha's weakness is that the first creature she sees is invisible to her for the rest of the day.
