Jamedi and Lira deciphered the scrolls Ora found previously, and realized that they were contracts, two of which had already been broken. Ora kept the staff, and explored Bavlorna's pool and the first floor while keeping watch. To her dismay, she turned to see two stealthy figures. One she recognized: the witch, still looking like Ora's humanoid form. The other was a bulky-looking orc that almost got the drop on Ora. The rogue acted with grace and speed, wounding Ora severely before attempting to wrestle the staff from her hands. Unfortunately for him, Ora maintained her wits, kept hold of the staff, and used her brand new Cape of the Mountebank to _dimension door_ out of there and into the safety of Lira's _tiny hut_. The rest of the party awakened to a bleeding and yelling Ora, and they kept up their vigilance for some time before they realized nobody was coming. Everyone took a much-deserved long rest. Ora realized during her long rest that she had the ability to use different daggers and, upon spending some time with them, could also learn to manifest them as psychic blades, choosing her blade with each strike. She had a dream about her father torturing what she believed might be her sister. Boris looked into the Luxon Beacon and had a dream where Leylas asked him if they should share eternal life with his army of recruits, to which he said no. The next morning, Flint scried on the cat that they had inadvertently released, and learned that it had reached its intended destination: a spire within a storm-wracked expanse, where a figure that could only have been Endelyn Moongrave gratefully received it. Ora wrote out a letter in Sylvan, mimicking Bavlorna's handwriting as much as she could, explaining that she had released the cat as a sign of good faith, that she was grossly injured, and that she needed immediate assistance. This was then sent to Endelyn Moongrave of Yon. The party then began to prepare for the potential arrival of another hag of the Hourglass Coven. ^summary --- ## Housekeeping - Jamedi has advantage on Charisma-based ability checks until the carnival ends - Ora got along really well with [[Feathereen]]. - Ora should have nightmares about her father torturing her sister. until 17 Dualahei - Nav taught Ora how to cast Dispel Magic 3x/day - "Plot armor" for pets and Nav.
