Burly is a giant bugbear who wears a jack-o-lantern for a helmet, dungarees, and fake fairy wings. He patrols [[The Witchlight Carnival#Staff Area]]. ![[burly_the_bugbear.png]] Burly is quite an intellectual; he's cottoned on that [[Mr Witch]] and [[Mr Light]] are upset and will help the characters figure out what's going on. He knows [[Prismeer]] is in trouble, but that Mr Witch and Mr Light have their hands tied somehow. He doesn't like [[Thaco]] at all. Burly and his brother, Hurly, joined the carnival as youngsters. Hurly disappeared a few months ago, and search parties failed to locate him. Mister Witch and Mister Light convinced Burly to stay with the carnival afterward, rather than continue the search on his own.
