Goal: Get the stash of Black Orchid Beehive before the humans learn of its true power.
They're asked by Conan the Barbearian to infiltrate HoneyCon and retrieve the Black Orchid Beehive that the humans have acquired. Conan is already undercover as the convention organizer, so he can give the bears inside information.
Obstacles:
1. They have to get past the honey festival and into the vault, where the honey is kept... without being noticed by the humans.
2. Someone else wants to get into the honey: there are rumors of a tribe of bearcenaries that have been hired to steal the honey.
3. They've been set up! Conan is part of the barbearian tribe and wanted the players to get caught so that the honey would be turned over to Conan and his barbearians.
4. There are laser tripwire grids in the vault. Only the most dextrous Thief or the most astute Hacker could get through it to retrieve the honey.
Details:
1. The party can get through the festival by buying disguises (hats are sold in a nearby store), stealthing past the humans, or talking their way out of it with what little human words they know.
2. They may overheard guards talking about bears that were trying to get into the vault but had failed.
3. Black Orchid Honey is the rarest honey in the world, and has the magical property of being able to turn humans into bears. With this in their hands, humans could infiltrate bear society. Masquerade as bears. STEAL THEIR HONEY. This cannot happen!
4. Conan's backup plan is that he has taken the Black Orchid Queen Bee, so the beehive will eventually die out if the bee is not returned. They cannot produce more bees. They are then at an impasse.
