Alignment: Lawful neutral He is a monster who hunts monsters as "penance" for having inadvertently killed his brother. His favorite food is roasted hippogriff. ## Background Jamedi grew up in a small mining town in [[Blightshore]], and eventually, he worked as a miner. He fell in love with a woman named Meriele, and they got married in the traditional fashion for their people: a blood-clasp ceremony involving holding hands as a long, unbroken line of blood is drawn from one arm to the other. Jamedi and Meriele lived happily until there was an explosion in the mine. Jamedi found himself severely wounded, but the only survivor of an "accident", as he woke up with those around him dead. Worse: Meriele had died too-- she was close enough to the mines because he had forgotten his lunch, and she had come to bring it to him. Grief-stricken, Jamedi turned to [[The Raven Queen]] and bargained for the life of his beloved. The Raven Queen accepted, but Meriele's soul was guarded fiercely by her god, [[ttrpgs/The Slayers FivePelor]], and even the Queen could not fulfill her side of the bargain. Instead, she offered Jamedi a boon: immortality, of a sort, and a chance to save another person from death. Jamedi is a [[Hollow One]], caught somewhere between life and death, existing as a monster who hunts down other monsters.
