# Rubin Sugarwood Rubin proposed to his boyfriend, [[Ween Sundapple]], outside [[The Witchlight Carnival#Hall of Illusions]], and unfortunately Ween got hit by the _Tasha's Hideous Laughter_ spell. Rubin, taking the laughter as a rejection, ran into the tent. He followed a [[Lornling]] in the mirror to [[Hither]], and is in [[Bavlorna's Cottage#Cages]]. He made a deal with Bavlorna to ease his broken heart, and she took it from his heart.
