# [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/The Luxon]] The Luxon (plural) are a single deity of Neutral alignment worshipped mostly in [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/Xhorhas]] and the [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/Kryn Dynasty]]. It is scientific and metaphysical in nature, with no discernible personality or consciousness. The Luxon are the source of [[Dunamis]], a primal substance, and [[Dunamancy]], the study and practice of dunamis. Dunamancy is an obscure school of magic based around the manipulation of reality, particularly gravity and time. The Luxon want to understand themselves. While they are worshipped like gods, they were created by people. They are a form of [[Arcane Intelligence]]: a combination of spells that were researched and created by powerful wizards to intelligently pursue certain goals. ## [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/Luxon Beacon]]s [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/Luxon Beacon]]s have recently been discovered that seem to contain a part of the Luxon. Beacons are revered for their ability to grant multiple lives to those that have been bound to it. ## Reincarnation [[Consecution]] is the process by which a soul is ritualistically bound to [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/The Luxon]]. Once consecuted, a creature that dies within its range (100 miles) is reborn into a nearby body. The new body will continue to age as normal, and will have to go through a process of [[Anamnesis]] to remember the past lives that its new soul contains. Creatures that naturally reincarnate, like a phoenix, are said to be sacred. [[Achess]] is the process of ritualistic and voluntary suicide, during which a person decides to end their current life because they have gained all that they need to from it. Achess is done in the presence of an Umavi and a beacon. ## Tenets of the faith - Unity of community is important, but so is an individual's choice and the power of an individual's mind. - For each to soul to carve a unique path is the best way for a soul to learn about the world. - The real power of the universe comes from the power of choice. - [[Dunamis]] is the energy of potentiality, the anticipatory trembling of the universe before it is changed by a choice. - Four [[ttrpgs/The Slayers Five/Luxon Beacon]]s have been discovered. Once all beacons have been found and brought together, the Luxon will be summoned from their slumber. The Luxon will ask their followers the great question and impart the truth, after which all those who have been consecuted will abandon this lesser world and start new lives elsewhere. ## Secrets in the Luxon faith - A sickness called [[Typhros]] occurs in those that have gone through multiple cycles of [[Consecution]], and causes insanity.
