- If it doesn't resemble any weapon, it deals 1d4 damage (of an appropriate damage type). This includes using a ranged weapon as a melee weapon.
- An improvised thrown weapon has range 20/60.
## Silvered Weapons
A single weapon or ten pieces of ammunition can be silvered for 100 gp. This represents the cost of silver _and_ the time and expertise needed to silver them.
## Special Weapons
- Lance
- You have disadvantage when you use a lance to attack a target within 5 feet of you. A lance requires two hands to wield when you aren't mounted.
- Net
- A Large or smaller creature is restrained when hit by a net.
- Getting free:
- A creature can use its action to make a DC 10 Strength check to free itself or another creature on a success.
- Dealing 5 slashing damage to the net (AC 10) frees trapped creatures without harming it, ending the effect and destroying the net.
- When you use an action, bonus action, or reaction with a net, you can only make one attack regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make.
