# [[001_20220319 Tamily's Family]] %% art:: [[golarion-tamily.png]] %% ## Session Summary > [!tldr] [[001_20220319 Tamily's Family]] > Tamily Tanderveil, a fishmonger in Otari, asked us to investigate a cellar underneath her shop. She said a lot of her fish had been stolen, amd she wasn't sure by whom. She promised us 10 gp each. > > We all headed downstairs from the Fishery: Skram, a male ratfolk ranger; Babolt, a male goblin rogue; Quen, a female chameleon gnome bard; and Karsh, a male human fighter. We encountered some Giant Rats, which we dispatched fairly quickly. We went further down, spending quite a bit of time scaling some minor cliffs. > > Eventually, we found a web-covered spider's lair... and an angry spider in it. However, we didn't even give it a chance to attack. We then found some webbed dead bodies, an emerald-pommelled shortsword, and a healing potion (which I gave to Babolt). > > We followed the passageway to a barricade made of wooden planks that had a room beyond it with a barrel. We ignored it and kept going, and we find a room that seemed to have things in place for a ritual. Skram tasted the water and seemed to enjoy it, but Babolt and Karsh tasted it and definitely did not. The temple/shrine seemed to be dedicated to the Gozreth, the god of two aspects. ^summary --- %% <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1F1ROm3qfEY" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> %% ## Session Zero Expectations - Nico wants less stuff in a city - Kyan - Exploration - Exploring new characters - Me - Whatever we decide, we decide it together and keep playing - Not as many homebrew things so that we can figure out how things work in Pathfinder Things that are different - Three-action economy - You can attack three times, but you will have penalties on the second and third - You can also move three times! - Rules for crafting - More actions for martial characters - In adventures, feats and powers can be rewards - At Level 2, you get your first class feat. A fishmonger in a town asked for help because someone was stealing the fish. She asked us to investigate in a cellar underneath the main shop. [[Tamily Tanderveil]] is her name. [[Otari]] is a small seaside town known for its fish and sailors. It's also a logging town. - [[Absalom]] is a nearby metropolis - Otari is home - we grew up here. - Problem at [[Otari Fishery]]. They say there's a beast that is feeding on fish. It might get hungry enough to eat fishermen next! - Tamily Tanderveil has asked us to help. She'll give us 10 gp each. ![[golarion-cellar-01.png]] We go down the stairs of the cellar. [[Otari Fishery#Salted Fish Cellar]] - In the centre of the room are barrels of salted fish - Stone pillars [[Skram]] ![[golarion-skram.png]] Nico: goblin Rogue: [[Babolt]] - same colour as his cloak - sneaky [[Quen]] ![[quen.jpeg]] NPC: Human, a bit chubby, male. His name was [[Karsh]] and he was forced by Tamily. They seem to know each other. He has a shield and wet clothes. Stiletto daggers, meant for throwing in a fight. We start to stealth. - Babolt: 16 - Me: 15 - Skram: "Undetected": Someone knows the general direction where you are, but they don't know exactly where you are. For most people, sight is precise; sense is imprecise "Hidden": Someone knows the square where you are, but you are concealed or covered. DC 5 check to detect you if you're hidden. "Partial cover": +2 "Full cover": +4 "Take cover": an action to increase the degree of the cover, from partial to full [[Giant rats]]! Ready: Costs 2 actions, _Concentrate_ tag. Choose a trigger, and your turn then ends. When the trigger happens, you can use your reaction to do the readied action, or you can choose to use the reaction for something else. Their AC: 15 - Inspire Courage: Mes amis, I have seen our fate in the cards. Repel these horrible creatures. - Shield - Create a Diversion (My Deception vs their Perception) The giant rats are normal creatures underground. They eat almost any food, but they don't like salted food. We defeat them! [[Otari Fishery#The Impossible Cliffs]]: The tunnel leads to a cliff. I use my climbing kit to help myself and Skram climb down. We enter a web-covered area. [[Otari Fishery#The Webbed Lair]] ![[golarion-cellar-spiders-lair.png]] - Spider: 20 - Babolt: 21 - Skram: 17 - Karsh: 15 - Me: 9 In this world, goblins hate dogs and love setting things on fire. - Inspire Courage: *Face your fortunes, arachnid antagonist!* - Telekinetic Projectile, 10 bludgeoning damage The [[ttrpgs/The Undead Unkillers/Giant Spider]]'s AC was 17. Karsh finds a shortsword in the webs, near some sort of small humanoid not similar to any of us. He also finds a vial of liquid. Skram gets the shortsword. It has an emerald in its pommel. The sword is unusable, but the emerald is worth 5 gp. The potion is a healing potion that restores 1d8 HP instantly when consumed. We press on. Something has levelled out the passage and made it easy. There is a crude barricade made of wooden plants and part of a barrell. [[Otari Fishery#The Levelled Passage]] There is a room past the barricade that has a large rectangular object in it. [[Otari Fishery#The Barricaded Room]] Ancient room: [[Otari Fishery#The Altar of Gozreth]] ![[golarion-otari-fishery-altar-of-gozreth.png]] - large statue of a giant squid - scum covers almost everything except a silver bowl with perfectly clear on top of the altar. - Filled with mold and rot. Skram tastes the water. It tastes like water but with a little sweetness. He feels the power of the water course through him. He has been blessed. As a reaction to a critical hit for the next hour, he can turn the critical hit into a hit. He realises this is dedicated to the god [[Gozreh]], god of nature, sea, the wind, the waves, weather. God of two aspects. They dislike forces of undead. Babolt and Karsh try the water and have the equivalent of 1 exhaustion!
