# [[008_20220611 The Eater of Fish]] %% art:: [[golarion-wyrmling.png]] %% ## Session Summary > [!tldr] [[008_20220611 The Eater of Fish]] > We spent a week of downtime in Otari to level up, yay! Then we went back down to the Otari Fishery and went into the barricaded room that we skipped. We found a room with sarcophagi, where we were attacked by skeletons and undead zombie creatures. > > We then went back to the Kobold Queen's Throne and investigated the large cavern beyond it. It had gigantic yellow mushrooms and something large and alive. Whatever it was, it asked for fish. We agreed to give it back some fish, just to lure it close enough so that we could attack it. We went upstairs to report what we'd learned to Tamily, who begrudgingly gave us some fish in exchange for us waiving the reward she would have given us. We went downstairs with the fish, after Skram put a trap inside the fish barrel. We learned that the creature that the kobolds had been feeding was a very young green dragon. > > The dragon wyrmling seemed inexperienced and naïve. We had almost talked it into leaving the humans alone and fending for itself in the world beyond the caverns, but when it saw the tanglefoot bag that Skram was holding, it attacked! ^summary %% [Video](https://youtu.be/nT5XOMAuuP0) %% --- ## Recap ![[007_20220604 Otari is a plucky town of thieves#^summary]] --- ## Log Creatures that are lower level than us can never draw a crit card. [[Leno Lafenol]] from [[Otari Market]] buys the bolt of fine silk from Bolt. In Otari, people only have silver. Us having gold makes us part of the upper class already! We head down to the [[Otari Fishery]]. We get to the barricaded room we passed over last time and remove the barricade. Bolt stealths ahead and I follow a little behind him. [[Otari Fishery#Burial Vault of the Blue Flame]] There is an ancient burial vault that the passage leads down to. Alcoves line the walls, each one with a coffin. The centre holds a stone sarcophagus. Bony hands reach for Bolt! There's a torch on the wall with blue flame, but it's not moving. - 28 Quen - 26 Skram - 20 Karsh - 18 Bolt ![[golarion-tomb.png]] - Round 1 - Me - Stride - Electric Arc - 8 damage, but they are resistant to that. - Skram - Realizes that the zombie is a particular type that doesn't have reactions. They are usually in packs and are held together by necromantic magic. - Round 2 - Skram - Hunt Prey the skeleton closest to Bolt and hits it- AC 16. It's resistant to piercing damage. Cold, electricity, fire, piercing, slashing. Resistant 5. It can't be negotiated with or bargained with. There's soil and a skeleton in one of them. The armor is in pieces. It has a shield that seems intact, but it's rusty. The shield has an image of a roaring lion with hair or snakes or rays coming out of its head. Karsh takes it. Karsh opens the central coffin. It's empty but the smell is terrible. Skram investigates the blue flame. The torch has been treated with magic and chemicals. It's an everburning torch. The only remaining room we haven't discovered is the room behind the Kobold Queen's Throne: [[Otari Fishery#Wyrmling Mushroom Cave]]. It's a huge cavern, about 200 feet long. There are gigantic yellow mushrooms, some of them up to 20 feet high. There is moss and lichen in the cave, giving it an eerie glow. There are shattered remnants of barrels. Don't know what was in them. Something is moving on the far side of the room. - 14 Quen - 14 Bolt - 8 Skram - 5 Karsh "Do you have fish? Is it due?" Bolt and I say that we've come to bring it fish. It tells us we haven't brought enough. We agree to bring it back fish, but first ask [[Tamily Tanderveil|Tamily]] if we can use some of her fish as bait. Apparently she used to be a pirate! We agree to waive the reward that she was going to give us, in exchange for her letting us bring some fish as bait. Medium sized creature ![[golarion-wyrmling.png]] It's a wyrmling dragon. Dragons are engines of destruction, but this one is quite young. [[The Wyrmling Who Liked Fish]] This is a [[Green Dragon]], one of the most talkative types of dragons. They prefer to talk before attacking. They are also known to be shrewd and cunning. This one is too young to be that yet. With the way it was brought up, I can see it doesn't understand the world much. They can fly and swim. Even at this age, they already have a cone of poison. They love collecting knowledge and items. They are smart enough to keep their word and smart enough to break it.
