Quen decided to work with Wrin and moonlight at The Rowdy Rockfish. Enter our new characters! > > Wrin Svinxi showed up at the library where my new character, Zuhri, was researching, and said that "the stars" had foretold my arrival. I learned later that she had done the same thing to Skram, Karsh, and Jaspen Bond, a blue gunslinger kobold. > > We all met up together, intending to understand why it seemed like we were being directed to go towards the The Gauntlight, from where Wrin had seen the gauntlight. We entered the lighthouse and got into a fight with some small fey creatures that we learned were mitflits. They seemed to be intelligent enough, but none of us could communicate with them. We also killed giant maggots that we encountered in the ruins of the keep, and then also these large fly creatures that are the evolved version of the maggots. Bolt goes back to [[Crook's Nook]] to work with [[Yin Yasmera]]. [[The Osprey Club]] is the name of their group. [[Quen]] goes to work with Wrin and also works at [[Brelda Venkervale|Brelda]]. Wrin is intensely claustrophobic. That's why her shop is in the open air. New characters who dis! [[Jaspen Bond Callistair]] is Nico's new character. Fundamental Potency Runes - Weapon - potency rune: +3 - striking rune: increases damage dice (+1) - Armor - armor: + to AC - resiliency: + to saving throws How do you get runes? - Buy or find them in stone form - Transfer one from an existing magical item Property Runes - Ex: flaming, returning - Number you can have is the number of its potency rune (1, 2, 3). +1 weapon can have 1 property rune The DC to transfer an item rune is determined by the level of the rune beign transferred. Price to transfer is 10% of the rune's price. It takes one day. Skram works with [[Magiloi]] and earns 4 cp, haha. Zuhri is researching in the [[Dawnflower Library]]. It is primarily a temple to [[Sarenraei]]. I'm passing through this town when [[Wrin Sivinxi]] shows up with her pupilless white eyes. The stars foretold my arrival after the gauntlight glows again. Wrin went to all four of us. Jaspen is a blue male kobold, covered up. He has a mask on. We can only see his hands, a bit of his ankles, and his eyes. He's wearing the uniform of a far-off city. He looks like he's educated. ![[golarion-jaspen.png]] We walk across [[Pharasma's Walk]] in the graveyard, past the [[Stone Ring Pond]]. Cloak figures seem to live there. We go on [[The Gaunt Trail]], which eventually leads us to a marsh named [[Fogfen]]. It's about 10am, day 16. ^918888 We come across ruins upon which a lighthouse and a monument rest, towering above the surrounding swamp. There is a light coming from the lighthouse. Everything else is moldy and overgrown. It's a bit foggy. We find a path through the Fogfen. We go into a [[The Gauntlight#Fogfen Watchtower|watchtower]] before a moat. The gauntlight is in the lighthouse in the middle of a keep. There SHOULD be a drawbridge. We hear a loud, high-pitched voice speaking in a language we don't understand. Seems like it's from some small creature that sounds well-meaning and nice. It's like we're being welcomed. Small, gray, foul-spelling. They can't seem to speak common. - 12 Jaspen - 12 Skram - 8 Them - 6 Zuhri and Ash We see gray-skinned creatures with big eyes and sharp teeth. - Round 1 - Jaspen - Attacks one of them - Skram - Recalls Lore on them. They are [[Mitflit]]s. They are easily bullied by larger creatures. They live underground. They are fey, but have moved over to the prime material plane. They are cowardly. They are like gremlins. - Me - (A-1) Grapple - (Z-2) Mage Armor - (Z-1) Boost Eidolon + Extend Boost The mitflits were putting on a voice. They run away in fear and we let them! There is a 20-foot bridge that looks decaying. The iron chains holding it up look like they are very rusty. Hurricane tells me the water is murky with algae. The water is right underneath the drawbridge. Jaspen realizes that the mitflits have sabotaged the bridge - one medium creature can pass at a time. Small creatures can cross easily. Across the bridge, piles of rotting timber and loose stones are in an L-shaped hall. There are clumps of moss and tangle vines. Debris blocks a wooden stairwell that leads to a large hole in the ceiling. There's a lot of old, dried blood on the floor from the last month or so. The mitflits passed through here. There are no bodies, but there was definitely a fight. A dead frog the size of a horse lies on the floor. [[The Gauntlight#Dead Frog Hall]] ![[golarion-deadfroghall.png]] Its legs have been bitten off. Jaspen goes closer to try to investigate it, but something under its skin moves! Initiative - 28 Skram - 23 Jaspen - 16 Zuhri and Ash - Things [[Maggot|Worm-like things]] that are dirty white in color. ^a48807 - Round 1 - Skram - Me - (1) Boost Eidolon + Extend Boost - (A-1) Kick, 8 sonic - This triggers a 5-foot emanation that requires a Fortitude save of 16 as it regurgitates its last meal, which is decomposing frog innards. Sickened 1 on failed save. Kills one off. - (A-1) Move - (1) Protect Companion - Round 2 - Skram - Attacked - Karsh kills the second one off! Creatures were Level 0. I smell something that smells similar to the worms, coming from a certain room. I tell everyone that. [[The Gauntlight#Giant Fly Stables]] Karsh opens the door. This room still has wooden ceilings above. There are animal carcasses on the floor. There is a [[Giant Blue and Green Fly]] buzzing around. Initiative - 22 Karsh - 20 Zuhri - 12 Jaspen - 15 Skram - Fly - Round 1 - Karsh - Me - (1) Boost Eidolon + Extend - (1) Protect Companion - (A2) Readies a Kick - Skram - Round 2 - There's a trap door and another fly comes out! This room doesn't have a ceiling and we can see the sky. - Karsh - Me - (1) Demoralize fly 2 - (1) Boost + Extend - (A1) Kick - (1) Move - Skram - Recall Knowledge: They are very agile. They have a reaction (_Avoid the swat_) where they get a bonus against that attack. They can do a _Flypox_ when they bite. They lay maggots. - Fly 2 attacked Ash twice, hit once. - Jaspen kills Fly 2! Flypox: Check after one day how Ash is feeling.
