They battled corpse lights in a dining hall and discovered that Vayle is undead, causing Karsh to demand he leave the party due to his inability to control himself around undead with divine magic. The party found a mysterious light message in the library that revealed Gauntlight is a weapon built to raise Absalom and must be brought down. We found a dining hall and battled corpse lights! We went into a room that looked like it was for storage - Open metal hatch on the room - Storage bin, open and overflowing with lumps of stone, bones - Somewhere in front of Karsh is a presence that I can detect with my mind. ![[1675502102925 - Combat]] We flee to the library. [[Vayle]] is undead! [[Karsh]] isn't happy about [[Vayle]], and says he has to leave. He can't control himself around undead, especially one with divine magic. From the restricted section of the library (octagon) we go down the stairs. We see a light show on the wall. As [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] goes up to it, we start to see words. It is written in Common: *A [[The Gauntlight]] is a weapon built to raise [[Absalom]] - it must be brought down!* The same message is repeated over and over again, and then the lights coalesce into a puddle of light and drips down onto the floor. It starts to flow eastwards under the door. The Gibbering Mouther cavern had two exits we didn't check out - 1 led north (to this room) - 1 to the south leading into the cavern. This room/cavern - Immense cavern. Water is dripping over a large still lake - Thick patches of moist mushrooms on western shore. Some are over 4 feet tall! - Narrow trickle of water feeds in from the south. - 35-foot pavilion made of stone, 10 ft above the water, is on the lake. Stone columns. It's encrusted with a damp, pale fungus. - 2 stone archways from pavilion. - 1 to a door to the east where we're coming from - 1 to another door. - Faintly flickering campfire burns in the middle of the pavilion, smoke curling to the ceiling. - We see 2 figures. [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] opens the door and light floods in, but they respond to our smell more than anything. They are two man-sized wolves.
