They encountered an octagonal room with an altar marked by seven indentations and four severed hands that came to life and attacked them. After healing, they returned to Otari, which Vayle didn't recognize as the place he knew. ^summary --- ## Recap ![[037_20230304 Ash is Father Tyson#^summary]] --- ## Log We found a small pond with a tower of refuse, with a chute above from which [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] fell through. There was a passage from the southeast that led to the gibbering mouther pond and one from the southwest that led to more water. We went north, skirting the mushrooms. We got to a passageway that led to a room of "trophies" of influential people in the past, including Ash's body, [[Father Tyson]], which had scars on his body. This is an octagonal chamber. - Walls are carved with a sprawling graveyard (360 degrees) with all graves open and empty. - Parade of shrieking ghost wailing into the apex of the room, where there's a gaping mouth. - THere's a circular 15-foot diameter dais with a rock altar. 7 indentations, with light flickering. Above altar are small objects that scuttle and animate as we enter. They are severed hands! ![[1678526192411 - Combat]] We go back to the mushroom part and heal ourselves. The wolves splash into the lake and enter into the northeast tunnel from the lake. We go back to [[Otari]]. This is not the [[Otari]] that [[Vayle]] recognises.
