We figured out that it's a [[Soulbound Doll|Soulbound]] mechanism, almost certainly created by [[Volluk Azrinae|Volluk]]. > > We explored [[The Gauntlight]] further and came across a place with a huge hole in the ground and four [[Dreshkan|dreshkans]]. The werewolf hunters in town killed Jaul, hired by [[Keeleno Lathanar]]. Jaul had kept the werewolves under control, making them not attack the town and instead only attack around the town. He also prevented the undead from [[The Gauntlight]] from escaping to the surface. With Jaul dead, the werewolves went crazy and attacked [[Otari]]. We got the necklace of [[Ayla]], which was around Jaul's neck, to give to Keeleno Lathanar later. We went for the barrier in The Gauntlight and brought out the four icons of [[The Roseguard]]. An arm reaches out for us through the stone wall! ## Battle ### Round 1 - 27 damage to [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] and [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]]. Grappled. - [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] rolls a critical hit, but this thing is a construct and is immune to crits. His total 17 of damage does 3 damage to this metal thing. Its AC is 22. - [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]] - Recall Knowledge. There should be one soul gem for each side. - [[Vayle]] - Guidance to Ash - My turn - Z1: Aid - A1: Escape ✅ - Z1: Protect Companion - A1: Attack ### Round 2 Initiative! Bond 22 Vayle [[Zuhri]]/Ash Grumble - Bond - Is able to open the thing's face and sees some soul gems. - Me - Z1: Tandem move - Z1: Boost, Extended - A1: Pull out soul gems ## Exploration - There are strange marks on the ceilings - This area hasn't been touched for a few weeks. - We spend 20 minutes healing. Four dreshkans. 80 foot hole in the middle. At the bottom, there are several of these fleshy things and a door. These things are guarding it or just in front of it. There are a lot of them.
