Both Vayle and Grumble contracted the [[Black Frost]] curse, a Level 10 disease that progresses through stages of weakness and fatigue. The party fled back to [[Otari]] where [[Vandy Banderdash]] cured them, though they now owe her a favor. There are blood stains that lead down into the east side. There are trap doors leading into the water. We fought mimics here. We got 5 potions. There's a dark shape at the bottom of the water below the trap doors, but it's unmoving. [[Vayle]] carves a [[mimic]] apart and throws its body parts down the trap door. [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] ties the other mimic to a rope and dangles it like bait in the water. Around the same time, both bodies start jerking awake. Vayle and Grumble feel that they're rising as some form of undead. It's exuding some sort of supernatural cold. Combat! - A2 Tandem move - Z2 Tandem strike **Combat Summary**: The party engaged in combat against the two [[Black Frost Zombie]]s that had reanimated from the [[mimic]] corpses. The combat involved coordinated tandem moves and strikes, but the party quickly realized the danger of the [[Black Frost]] curse and fled back to [[Otari]] to seek treatment from [[Vandy Banderdash]]. Vayle recognises the mimic as a Black Frost Zombie. It's a creature of our strength and is normally found in arctic areas. It's a creature that has died to cold but instead of being trapped in cold, it developed a curse that it can pass on. Their cracked flesh emits a vapor-like steam. They're mindless, lumbering brutes. - Curse: A creature that dies from this curse rises as another Black Frost Zombie - Black Frost is a Level 10 uncommon curse. It's not just a curse... it's a disease. To treat Black Frost, you need something that removes the curse first. Then you need something that cures the disease next. And any creature that dies to it will rise as a Black Frost Zombie after one day. - The first stage lasts 10 minutes. - The next stage makes you weak to cold and tired for a day. - Then you are drained for a day We go back to Otari. - [[Roaring potion]]: growls when you open it. Grants effects of [[Bullhorn]] spell, 4d4 sonic damage in a 15 foot cone in front of you - Moderate potion of acid resistance for 1 hour - [[Rebirth potion]]: Has a small bit from a humanoid. The potion changes the imbiber into another ancestry over 8 hours. During the 8 hours they are clumsy, enfeebled, and stupefied. Potion transforms you into a sarangai: powerful carabao-headed warriors with gems on their forehead. They look like minotaurs. - [[Storm Breath Potion]]: bottles of temperamental lightning captured during storms. 10 resistance to lightning and sonic. You also deal damage to people in a 30-foot line. - Blue: [[Truth potion]].
