## Session Summary

> The party enters the north room and faces the Irnakurse, quickly defeating the Level 9 aberration. During combat, they realize it's actually made from dwarf parts rather than elf parts as previously thought. After the battle, they discover this was a processing center with prisoners' shackles and fresh corpses of undead and Mutalisks. Exploring further, they encounter two reddish-orange wisps and Frost Wardens before deciding to return to Otari, where Vayle will need to face Aiden Court after his undead nature was revealed. ^summary

## Log
We go into the door on the north. [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]] senses some metal that we realise are shackles.
- Two steep staircases leading below.
- Six pairs of shackles
- [[Irnakurse]] stands in the centre of the room. It's talking to itself and answering itself. It is a mess of limbs and teeth.
- Beside the Irnakurse are fresh corpses of an undead of some sort, and some [[Mutalisks]].
Its eyes turn to us and move slowly towards us.

The party engages the Irnakurse in combat. Bond strikes first, realizing the creature is actually made from dwarf parts, not elves as previously thought. He deals significant cold damage with his strikes. Despite the Irnakurse unleashing its Soul Scream ability which stupefies Zuhri and Grumble and causes Ash to experience visions of dwarves being cut apart by a mantis-like humanoid in a surgical mask, the party quickly overwhelms the creature. Bond's critical hit with triple damage proves decisive, and Zuhri delivers the killing blow, quickly ending the formidable Level 9 aberration.
[[Vayle]] heals [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] to full so that his persistent bleeding stops.
The blood from the shackles shows that some prisoners were dragged from the shackles down the stairs.
There is a desk in the room where there is paperwork - it's like a processing centre of some sort, except they were processing unwilling humanoids.
We go down the stairs!
- Long hallway stretching North to South. South is where we're coming from.
- The hallway branches out to the right, and on the north there's a small door.
- There's an orb of light floating unsteadily about 20 feet in front of us. They seem to be wisps of some sort. There are two of them and they're Level 6. They're reddish orangish wisps. They're aberrations, not undead.
We decide not to engage, back up out of the stairs. Bond stealthily opens the door to look through it.
- He sees a hallway, and two [[Frost Wardens]] guarding the door at the other end. They have not detected him yet.
- We have encountered these before. They had one real eye and a soul gem in their other eye.
- Something above the doorway-- a gem of some sort.
- There's a door to the north that looks like a normal door.
- They are automatons made by [[Volluk Azrinae]]. They can cast Walls, area effect Blizzard, Frost nova.
We decide not to pick the fight yet so we can go back to town... but Vayle will have to face [[Aiden Court]] and see what he's done with the information that she is undead...
