## Session Summary
> [!tldr] [[115_20260510 The Cailean Key Awakens]]
> The party continues fighting the [[Belcorra]]-controlled [[Siora Fallowglade|Siora]] on Levels 4–5 of [[The Gauntlight]]. Siora spawns multiple shadow duplicates and tries to lure the party toward what she calls the closest exit, while ravaging [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] with shadow-stealing attacks that leave him Enfeebled 4 (where another death would be permanent).
>
> [[Vayle]] hears a warm, tugging voice coming from their dagger and discovers the dormant [[Cailean Key]] hidden inside its hilt. The Key awakens, declares Vayle its new owner, and offers to free someone—Vayle brandishes it at the real Siora, counteracting Belcorra's hold (rank 4, counteract modifier +19) and removing Vayle's own Stupefied condition. The shadow clones collapse and the real Siora is liberated, now debt-bound to the party and guiding them toward the southwest exit. ^summary

## Log
The combat with the [[Belcorra]]-controlled [[Siora Fallowglade|Siora]] continues from Round 4 on Level 5 of [[The Gauntlight]]. With Belcorra herself faded from the field, Siora keeps spawning shadow duplicates of herself and presses the party hard, repeatedly trying to coax them through what she insists is the closest exit out to the southwest.

Siora's shadow-hand attacks tear into [[Grumblebum|Grumble]], stealing pieces of his shadow until he is Enfeebled 4 — at this stage another death would be permanent. The party scrambles between knocking down Siora duplicates, healing Grumble, and trying to figure out which Siora is the real one.
In Round 5, [[Vayle]] hears an unfamiliar voice — tugging and warm — muffled on their person. By Round 6 they trace it to their dagger and pull a key out of the hilt. It announces itself as the [[Cailean Key]], freed at last and greeting its new owner. The Key offers to free a single person if Vayle points it at them and says something nice, but Vayle can't pick out the real Siora through her shadow forms. [[Zuhri]] uses a Perception check and Tandem Move to mark the true Siora, and [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]] uses *Thoughtful Reload* to confirm this is a Greater Shadow form with light vulnerability and heavy resistances.
Vayle brandishes the Cailean Key at the real Siora. The counteract (modifier +19, rank 4) succeeds — Belcorra's hold on Siora is broken, the party's Stupefied conditions drop, and the shadow duplicates collapse. Siora's true form returns. She is now debt-bound to the party and, as promised, begins guiding them toward the southwest exit of the Gauntlight.
