The feral pack turns on the small "kindred" wolf, and after six hits it reverts to a frightened child in field-worker's clothing — [[Zuhri]]'s Soothe reveals him to be [[Onaru]], a boy the party has seen before, likely among [[The Gallowhops]] (the party also learns [[Aumagh Longsaddle]] is one of them). Onaru bolts into the forest crying "We found her! We found her!" and begging the party not to hurt the other wolves because "they don't mean to be hurting you." Meanwhile the werewolves swarm the still-disoriented, newly reborn Maret and drop her to Dying 3. > > The party fights to hold the line: [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] raises his shield and charges the pack, [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]] deliberately baits Wolf 2's reactive strike (shrugging off the damage in wolf form) but is grabbed when he tries to grapple it, and [[Vayle]] heals Grumble for 34 HP.
