Then he did something nobody expected: he teleported out of sight and invoked a contract on [[Graveknight Armor|Sythra]], calling her "Commander", citing a section of it and offering to discuss payment later, asking her to help him dispatch "this rubble". Sythra had no knowledge of the section he named, and Echbos drew the obvious conclusion out loud: "You're not Sythra, then. Urevian still has your soul. Stand aside." He vanished, there was a heavy thud, and the party was left holding the single largest piece of lore they have found about her: the original Sythra swore an original oath and this one swore a different one, and her soul may be in Vordine hands. > Sythra flew into the doorway on her armored horse. Only [[Zuhri]] managed to convince her of anything; everyone else failed, and it was clear she intended to attack. [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] opened with a Sudden Charge into the horse, which took 12 damage and disappeared, and Ash put another 12 into Sythra herself while [[Vayle]] called for [[Calamity's Ruin]] and healed [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]]. [[Shawanti|Bee]] came back to the party but would not fight: Calamity's Ruin has a **truce** with Sythra. She shouted to [[Dread]] that they had a situation of their own, because the [[Flesh Warps]] are taking the devil corpses. Her blank response told him she was not the Sythra the contract was written for, he told her that Urevian still has her soul, and he was gone. Sythra flew into the doorway instead, unconvinced by everyone but Zuhri and visibly preparing to fight. ![[1788084572880 - Combat#Round 11]] Round 11 opened the fight with Sythra properly but only barely. Grumble's Sudden Charge destroyed her summoned horse for 12 damage, Ash landed 12 on Sythra herself through AC 31, and Vayle spent the round on support: calling for Calamity's Ruin and healing Bond.
