## Background
A goblin whose soul was trapped in a soulbound doll in [[The Gauntlight Level 2 - Morlocks#Alchemical workshop]]. His physical body was that of a goblin servant, but his soul had been transferred into a mechanical doll with a slot at the back for a soul gem.
## Encounter with the Party
When the party placed a soul gem into the slot on the back of the soulbound doll, [[Borbo]]'s soul was able to communicate with them. He spoke in a language the party didn't understand initially, but they could understand his intent.
### Key Details
- **Desire for Death**: [[Borbo]] seemed to really want the party to kill him rather than try to put him back in his original goblin body
- **Confirmation**: He confirmed that his original body was that of the goblin servant in the tank
- **Soul Transfer**: The soul gem became diminished after the interaction, eventually becoming an empty, 5gp gem
- **Divine Intervention**: After his soul was freed, the party felt the divine hand of [[Pharasma]], the goddess of death, and received her blessing (advantage on one roll for one month)
## Fate
[[Borbo]]'s soul was successfully freed from the soulbound doll and moved on to the afterlife, allowing him to finally rest in peace after being trapped in the mechanical construct.
