# [[Dawnflower Library]] The Dawnflower Library is an opulent-looking structure in [[Otari]]. They worship [[Sarenraei]] and other good-aligned deities, but their books are also a good source of information. It's just beneath the cliffs of Otari. ## Recent Events ### Session 133 - Vandy Absent Vandy Banderdash hadn't been at the library for days. Acolytes were going to her house in pairs to help with the healing. The party found out she was infected with the [[Black Hollow Curse]], and Vayle cured her. She pledged to return to the library ([[133_20261018 Healer Heal Thyself]]). ### Session 117 - Zuhri's Soul Research - **[[Zuhri]] used Lore Academia** for the first time, researching how to anchor [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]]'s soul to this world - **Key findings**: - **Soul gems are a viable option** — could hold Ash for centuries, with Zuhri's psychic bond as a unique advantage over other soul gems - **[[Rebirth potion]] won't work** for Ash because he can't physically take it - **[[Volluk Azrinae]] would know the conditions inside a soul gem** better than anyone - **[[Tartuccio]] and [[Vorn]]** were loitering at the library; Tartuccio approached Zuhri's research and pointed her toward the **Pharasmins as the authorities on soul lore** (Pharasma judges all souls bound for the boneyard) — and disclosed that [[Aiden Court]] had gone to [[Absalom]] for an honor guard ### Session 100 - Vayle Acceptance Debate - **Heated Debate**: The entire clergy was mobilized and had been discussing [[Vayle]]'s undead nature for hours, continuing throughout the night after a long rest - **Factions Present**: Multiple religious factions were involved: - [[Pharasma|Pharasmins]] (led by [[Aiden Court]]) - believe being undead is unnatural - [[Vandy Banderdash]] - argued Vayle's case, though it went against her that she admitted she knew Vayle was undead and helped them - [[Vesna|Vesnans]] (including [[Wrin Sivinxi]]) - seemed to be on the party's side - Followers of [[Sarenraei]] - **Vayle's Defense**: Vayle successfully made a Diplomacy check, explaining that [[Melani]] brought them back and it wasn't their choice, but they choose to help the town fight - **Party Support**: [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] spoke in support as a [[Death Wardens|Death Warden]], and [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] declared that any act of aggression against Vayle would be considered a declaration of war with the party - **Outcome**: The Pharasmins stormed out, but this marked the first step toward getting Vayle's kind accepted ### Previous Events - [[Rosa Argentis]], a sword belonging to the [[Carman Rajani|Rajani]] family, was stolen from the library - [[Carman Rajani]] used a napalm grenade to start a fire as a distraction - The grenade was not meant to be too destructive, just enough to create a distraction - [[Captain Lardus Longsaddle]] was investigating the scene of the theft - The sword had been placed in the library by [[Mayor Oseph Menhemes]] ## NPCs in Dawnflower Library ```dataview table description as "Description" from "ttrpgs/The Undead Unkillers" WHERE contains(type,"NPC") or contains(type,"faction") and contains(location,"Dawnflower Library") SORT file.name ASC ```
