The Death Shepherd has a unique ability to hide within its thralls via shadowy links and respawn when killed. ## Abilities - **Silence Aura**: Creates an area of silence around itself, preventing communication - **Unholy Command**: Can command all of its thralls to move or act - **Shadowy Link**: When killed, hides inside one of its thralls and emerges later bloodied but alive - **Dwarven Origins**: The creature has dwarven heritage, as detected by [[Grumble]]'s Locate Dwarf spell ## Combat Notes - The Death Shepherd was pushed into an 80-foot pit by [[Zuhri]] using Kinetic Ram - Despite taking significant damage from the fall, it respawned from a human ghoul thrall - It has five thralls total, though two were dead when the party encountered it - The creature speaks [[Necril]], though its Silence aura prevents the party from hearing it ## Session 082 The party discovered the Death Shepherd's most dangerous ability during their encounter. When killed, it doesn't stay dead but instead hides within one of its thralls through shadowy connections, making it extremely difficult to permanently destroy. The creature demonstrated this ability after being pushed into the pit, emerging from a human ghoul thrall bloodied but alive.
