# [[Graveknight Armor]]
Graveknight Armor is both a curse and a creature—a set of cursed armor that continuously creates undead to wield it. The armor cannot be killed until the armor itself is destroyed. Graveknights have butchered entire towns and castles because they are virtually unstoppable.
## Characteristics
- **Level**: 10
- **Type**: Cursed Armor/Undead
- **Weakness**: None, except being undead (vulnerable to effects that harm undead)
- **Key Ability**: As long as the armor exists, it will keep creating an undead creature to wield it
## Combat Abilities
- **Weaponmaster**: Extremely skilled with its greatsword, called a "ruinous weapon"
- **Critical Specialization**: Has special effects on critical hits with its sword
- **Acid Damage**: Drips acid and leaves it sizzling on things it hits
- **Electrical Cone Attack**: Can unleash an electrical cone that can wipe out multiple enemies at once
## Appearance
When first encountered, it appeared as a helmeted, rusted, seaweed-covered knight emerging from the water while dragging a greatsword. The party initially called it the "Seaweed Knight" before learning its true nature.
## Session 107 - First Encounter
The party encountered the Graveknight Armor in [[The Gauntlight]]:
- Emerged from the water and began walking towards the party
- Unlike the chained [[Living Landslide|Living Landslides]] and [[Sod Hound|Sod Hounds]], it had no chains
- The elementals rushed towards it (as they had rushed the party)
- Killed all the elementals in just two rounds
- [[Vayle]] identified it as cursed armor that cannot be killed until the armor itself is destroyed
- Is affected by the [[Black Hollow Curse]], the curse the party caused on this level
## Threat Assessment
The Graveknight Armor represents one of the most dangerous threats the party has encountered. Its ability to regenerate wielders, combined with its devastating combat abilities and Level 10 status, makes it a foe that the party wisely chose to avoid rather than confront.
## Session 108 - Destruction Requirements and Failed Negotiation
The party learned crucial information about how to permanently destroy the Graveknight:
### Destruction Requirements
- **Respawn Time**: 1-10 days after being "killed"
- **Two-Step Process**: Permanently destroying it requires:
1. A high-level *Remove Curse* spell or similar divine magic
2. Physical destruction of the armor itself
- **Limitation**: [[Vayle]] has a way to remove curses, but only for willing creatures
### Encounter in the Mutalisk Room
- **Summoned Mount**: The Graveknight summoned a fully armored black horse that sprouted wings and flew down stairs
- **Unholy Aura**: Emanates an unholy aura that affects the surrounding environment
- **Plant Reaction**: The plants in the [[Mutalisks|Mutalisk]] room shrink away from the Graveknight
- **Mutalisk Immunity**: Neither the Mutalisks nor plants harm the Graveknight
- **Voice**: Speaks with an old voice that sounds almost female, at least neutral
- **Hostile Stance**: Declared "Unintelligent creatures, stay in your pens" and demanded the party state their name and purpose
- **Territorial**: Stated that outsiders are not permitted on this level
### Negotiation Attempt
- [[Grumblebum|Grumble]] attempted to negotiate, offering to help reverse the curse
- The Graveknight dismissed the offer as "irrelevant"
- Negotiation appears to be failing (one fail already recorded)
