# [[Living Landslide]] Living Landslides are earth elementals that appear as bundles of boulders and rocks. They are creatures that love to travel around the world to explore and find it strangely liberating to move about this world from their elemental plane. ## Characteristics - **Type**: Elemental - **Behavior**: They seek to move about the earth and ground, almost never staying in the same place twice - **Appearance**: Bundles of boulders and rocks that seem to move as one ## Use as Guardians Because they are popular among mages and summoners, Living Landslides are often used as guardians, messengers, or other types of servants. Despite their wandering nature, they can be bound through magical bindings. ## Session 107 - First Encounter The party encountered Living Landslides in [[The Gauntlight]] while trying to identify looted magical items. These particular elementals were chained to the walls through ancient [[Arcane Binding]]s that can be undone through an out-of-combat ritual. - [[Zuhri]] identified them as exploration-loving elementals often bound as guardians - They attacked the party alongside [[Sod Hound|Sod Hounds]] - [[Vayle]] charmed one of the Landslides, allowing the party to escape - They were later observed rushing towards the [[Graveknight Armor]] that emerged from the water, and were killed by it in two rounds
