# [[Mayor Oseph Menhemes]] Mayor Oseph Menhemes is the mayor of [[Otari]]. He is treated like royalty. He is the mayor by day and then a successful businessman at night. He owns [[The Giant's Wheel]] as well as the lumber company that runs the wheel. His income comes from two other lumber companies who rent the wheel from him. He's the richest person in town. He knows about [[Yin Yasmera]], and doesn't really care. He seems to think [[The Osprey Club]] only steal from visitors, which he thinks is fine. He didn't care if we joined her group as long as we said we would leave the inhabitants of Otari alone. ## Family He has a little girl and maybe a wife (we saw an older woman in [[007_20220604 Otari is a plucky town of thieves#^4657ea|his mansion]], but we're not sure if it was his wife or a governess). ### Osefna - A deceased family member who was a devout follower of [[Erastil]] - Her holy symbol (a scythe-shaped medallion) serves as the key to the family vault - The vault contains a tomb with brazers and ancient skeletons - The Mayor can sometimes hear a high-pitched keening sound from beyond the stone door ## Session 055 - Vault Access The party informed the Mayor about the sword's return and gained permission to explore his family vault: - **Sword Return**: The Mayor was more concerned with [[Carman Rajani]]'s capture than the sword itself - **Vault Access**: He granted permission for the party to explore the family vault using [[Osefna]]'s holy symbol - **Vault Contents**: The vault contains a tomb with brazers and ancient skeletons - **Keening Sound**: The Mayor mentioned hearing a high-pitched keening sound from beyond the stone door - **Debt**: He offered to be indebted to the party if they could silence the keening sound - **Cloak Permission**: He gave permission for the party to retrieve the cloak if they could find it ## Session 077 - Werewolf Attack Aftermath - **Crisis**: The Mayor is on the verge of breakdown due to recent werewolf attacks on [[Otari]] - **Daughter's Condition**: His daughter [[Doriana Menhemes|Doriana]] is getting worse - **Town's Vulnerability**: The town was left vulnerable when the party departed, with only [[Calamity's Ruin]] left to protect them - **Relief**: He's happy to see the party return as they can now protect the town - **Recent Events**: A few nights ago, werewolves attacked the town, leaving blood on the cobblestones and people dragged away - **Repairs**: The town is currently undergoing repairs from the werewolf attack
