[[Petzel]] was the loyal pet of [[Graulgust]], the former morlock leader in The Gauntlight. This grotesque creature was described as being bigger than Graulgust himself, with a worm-like appearance that made it both fascinating and terrifying.

## Discovery and Death
The party discovered Petzel's corpse in a natural cavern beneath The Gauntlight. The creature was found dead in its nest, which was described as "a large soggy nest of mud, bones, flesh" located beneath dangling pallid roots. Petzel likely died during the same conflict that claimed [[Graulgust]]'s life when [[Calamity's Ruin]] eliminated the morlock leadership.
## Relationship with Graulgust
According to [[Augrael]], Petzel was fiercely loyal to Graulgust and would follow only him. This exclusive bond made the creature both a valuable asset and a potential threat, as its loyalty could not be transferred to new leadership after Graulgust's death.
