# [[Shawanti]] *Bee* Shawanti is a female aasimar monk who is part of [[Calamity's Ruin]]. She is more of an archer monk, but still likes to fight. She also likes to meditate. She was happy to spar with [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]] and [[Karsh]] in [[023_20221015 Calamity's Ruin and the Undead Unkillers]]. She doesn't have pupils (just like most aasimars). She comes from [[The Wind Clan]], a people far away from here. They run like the wind. Someday, she wants to attend the [[Ruby Phoenix Tournament]], which is a tournament in [[Goka]] in the west that occurs once every 10 years. It draws combatants from all over the world. Can heal herself in a limited way. ## Session 128 - Arrows and a Rescue Bee tumbled into the [[Quadruped Construct]] fight behind [[Dread]] with her bow already drawn, shooting at the [[Dreshkans]] in the north and following up with a Flurry of Arrows. [[Echbos]] singled her out and landed a critical hit on her, and it was [[Zuhri]]'s **Friendfetch** that pulled her clear — the moment the party visibly picked [[Calamity's Ruin]] over the Vordine. [[Vayle]] then dragged Echbos toward her, and [[Gears]] charged in beside him before something exploded. ## Session 129 - Monastic Archer, and an Injured Elbow Bee spent the session doing exactly one thing extremely well: killing [[Dreshkans]]. She fights with her bow **in melee**, barely moving, big shield still slung on her back, and the party learned this is a deliberate style called **Monastic Archer**. Her AC is 27. - Opened with a **Flurry of Bows** into Dreshkan 2 at 35 and 35 against AC 21: both crits, 32 damage, and the piercing crit specialization *severed its muscle*, leaving it Clumsy 3 and Enfeebled 3 - Positioned herself between [[Vayle]] and the remaining Dreshkans, protecting the caster, though Vayle may not have realized it was deliberate - Later flurried again for 36 and 33, both crits with Deadly d10, for **52 damage** that killed Dreshkan 5 - Took 12 damage from a Rifler - Fumbled one flurry badly (a 1 and a 2) and rolled **Archer's Elbow** on the fumble table: a -2 circumstance penalty to ranged attacks **until healed**. The table found the name too appropriate - Gave [[Zuhri]] a curt nod and a thanks for the Session 128 rescue, then went straight back to work - She takes her orders from [[Dread]]: when asked whether she would shoot the Riflers, the answer was that Dread said the Dreshkans were hers ## Session 130 - Reassigned to the Devil With the Dreshkans dead, Bee switched targets and went after Echbos alongside Dread, helping push the Vordine to bloodied before he slipped away and disappeared. She spent Round 9 moving and readying an action rather than shooting, which fits a bow user still carrying **Archer's Elbow** and its -2 to ranged attacks, then followed Dread south out of the room to continue the hunt. She did not stay to help with the Quadruped Construct: her orders still come from Dread, and Dread is chasing Echbos. ## Session 131 - The Messenger Who Said No Bee came back into the room when [[Vayle]] called for [[Calamity's Ruin]], and then delivered two pieces of news instead of arrows. The first: **Calamity's Ruin has a truce with [[Graveknight Armor|Sythra]]**, so she would not fight her. That was the first the party had heard of it, and it left them facing a graveknight alone. The second: she called out to [[Dread]] that Calamity's Ruin has a situation of its own in the south: the **[[Flesh Warps]] are taking the devil corpses**. She then went back out with him rather than stay. She still has **Archer's Elbow** and its -2 penalty to ranged attacks, unhealed, which may be part of why she has spent the last two rounds moving and talking rather than shooting. ## Session 133 - Cursed, and Grateful Back in [[Otari]], Bee was one of the worst hurt of Calamity's Ruin, and like the rest of them she is infected with the [[Black Hollow Curse]]. She was the one who told the party the curse had changed. After Vayle healed the crew, she fist-bumped Zuhri in thanks, then walked behind the group to the [[Dawnflower Library]], guarding the rear ([[133_20261018 Healer Heal Thyself]]).
