# [[The Gauntlight Level 4]]

The fourth level of [[The Gauntlight]], featuring a banquet hall and mysterious chambers. This level contains:
- **Banquet Hall**: A dining room with brightly glowing chandeliers, still set as if for a grand meal. Four skeletons were previously destroyed here.
- **Mysterious Chamber**: A large chamber hung with grisly paintings of spectral beings over swamps and ruined neighborhoods, containing:
- A small table with an empty wine glass
- A cluttered writing desk and chair
- A humanoid-shaped mass wearing a robe (later revealed to be a worm creature)
- A large iron tub and privacy screen to the west
- A door to the east from which mysterious screams can be heard
The party encountered a Level 7 worm creature here that could discorporate into a swarm and reform, demonstrating abilities like fast healing and the ability to cast spells like *shroud of darkness*.
