# [[The Motley Man]] The Motley Man was an entity from [[The Dreamlands]] who preyed on [[Doriana Menhemes]]. For a long time the party and Doriana's family believed he was nothing more than her imaginary friend. ## Background & Role He hid a gem inside one of Doriana's toys and used it to haunt her every night, draining her into a coma-like state and attempting to transition into the waking world through her. Her white eyes, rolling pupils, and visions of things that weren't there were all symptoms of being pulled into The Dreamlands by him. ## Current Status **Destroyed.** [[Calamity's Ruin]] devised a ritual to enter [[The Dreamlands]], hunted him down, and killed him — ending Doriana's haunting (reported in session 083).
