# [[Thri-Kreen]]

An insectoid humanoid creature encountered in [[The Gauntlight]] during session 102. This Thri-Kreen was out of place in the dungeon and was camouflaged, making it difficult to notice initially.
## Characteristics
- **Fast and agile** with multiple limbs
- **High dexterity** - moves extremely fast (35-foot movement speed)
- **Intelligent** - described as smart
- **Well-armored** - typically wears plate armor
- **Small weapons** - usually equipped with smaller weapons
- **Level 7** - Estimated by [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]]
## Modified Black Frost Curse
The Thri-Kreen encountered by the party bears a modified version of the [[Black Frost]] curse. [[Vayle]] noticed that it has similar black material on it that looks like [[Black Frost Zombie|Black Frost Zombies]], but the curse itself is different. It appears that some divine entity has interfered with the original Black Frost curse and altered it into something new.
## Connection to Grumble's Vision
[[Grumblebum|Grumble]] recognized this Thri-Kreen as the creature from his vision that was dissecting dwarves. This connection caused Grumble to attack in rage, yelling "How dare you do that to my people!" However, the Thri-Kreen moved too fast for Grumble to catch it.
## Session Notes
- **Session 102**: Encountered in The Gauntlight while the party was deciding how to handle [[Frost Wardens]]. The creature was camouflaged and surprised the party. Grumble recognized it from his vision and attacked, but the Thri-Kreen escaped due to its superior speed. The party then switched focus back to the Frost Wardens.
