# [[Wrin Sivinxi]] ![[golarion-wrin.png]] Wrin is the eccentric elvish fortune-teller of [[Otari]] — pale skin, white eyes, ram horns. She is very *Luna Lovegood*: always talking about the stars, dropping creepy offhand comments about intimate moments, and addressing people without looking at them. She is the proprietress of [[Wrin's Wonders]] and once offered to take [[Quen]] as an apprentice. ## Current Status — Missing (Session 117) Wrin has not been seen since the night before Session 117. The party found [[Wrin's Wonders]] *closed for the first time ever*. Locals reported sounds of **barking and casting** at the shop overnight, but no reliable witness could say what actually happened. [[Zuhri]]'s Thoughtsense detected **no minds inside** the locked shop. Her whereabouts are unknown. In Session 124, the party asked [[Captain Lardus Longsaddle]] about her disappearance; he assigned **one of his men to investigate**. ## Role & Shop - Proprietress of [[Wrin's Wonders]] in [[Otari]] - Casts *Detect Magic* for a price - Buys and sells magical items from adventurers (e.g. bought a *Wand of Quench* from the party) - Knowledgeable about magical items and their properties — though uncertain about the *Lava necklace* ## Visions & Prophecies Wrin's prophetic sense is her defining capability. The party treats her readings as reliable but cryptic. - **The party's coming choice (Session 088)**: Felt the party was on the cusp of a major decision — *either to trap or to free* something or someone significant — and the choice would not be clear-cut. Warned that whatever they decided when they returned to [[The Gauntlight]] would *affect the rest of the Gauntlight*. Advised them to lean back on their values - **Scroll sensing (Session 088)**: Sensed that strangers would arrive who could use a scroll of *Searing Light* she had previously given [[Vayle]]; redistributed it accordingly - **Two-headed dog vision (Session 113)**: A dog with two heads and seven legs ran around a sharp corner carrying a **black [[The Fulcrum Lenses|Fulcrum Lens]]** in its jaws. The dog chased her until she fled out into the open sky where everything was curved, at which point it stopped - **Beyond her perception (Session 113)**: Could *not* sense [[Vayle]]'s *Doomed* condition at all — suggesting it lies beyond her magical perception (consistent with [[Achaekek]]'s mark) - **Background reads**: Knows the party has had *unexpected help* in their adventures; sensed that a *stirring evil* inside the lighthouse may have been awakened ## History with the Party - **Apprenticeship offer**: Once offered to take [[Quen]] as her apprentice - **Werewolf defense (Session 077)**: Helped fend off the werewolf attacks on Otari alongside [[Calamity's Ruin]], [[Carman Rajani]], [[Vandy Banderdash]], and [[Worly Win]] after the party had left. Reported the Gauntlight had stayed dark and the town vulnerable; urged the party to find [[Carman Rajani]] quickly; acknowledged the party's inoculation bite (with the Mayor) - **Scroll arc**: Gave [[Vayle]] a scroll of *Searing Light*, later asked them to return it so it could be redistributed to other customers she had foreseen - **Festival prep**: Was preparing the shop for the Founder's Day Festival and told the party significant events would happen during it ## Unresolved Threads - **Where is Wrin?** Was she taken, killed, or did she flee — and from whom or what? - **What did the *barking and casting* mean?** A werewolf attacker and a caster, or one creature doing both? - **The two-headed dog vision** — does it tie back to her own disappearance now that there was *barking* at her shop? - **The party's prophesied choice** — has it happened yet, or is the Cooperative Balloon / soul-gem dilemma the choice she foresaw? - **The stirring evil in the lighthouse** — Wrin sensed it before; what does she know that she didn't say?
