## Description
A large hybrid creature with the body of a bear and the head of an owl. The owlbear is known for its bloodcurdling screech that can frighten enemies within 80 feet, causing them to make Will saves or become frightened.
## Combat Abilities
- **Bloodcurdling Screech**: Within 80 feet, everyone makes a Will Save or becomes frightened
- **Physical Attacks**: Can deal significant physical damage with its claws and beak
## Encounter History
**Session 073 (2024-08-04)**: The owlbear was awakened by howls from the bottom left of the [[Lamashtu]] temple in the werewolf lair. It frightened most of the party with its screech, including [[Vayle]], [[Zuhri]], [[Ashnefrotty|Ash]], [[Grumblebum]], and [[Jaspen Bond Callistair|Bond]]. The creature was eventually defeated by the party during their exploration of the temple.
