Nature
We awaken in a strange place.
- Thick fog obscuring our sight
- Candlelights of a small village: Stormy Mountain, coincidentally on a stormy mountain
- Other direction: whispers from the stormy forest.
- We don't know how we made it outside or who our companions are.
- We hear the sound of a woman calling our names, seeing more of our soul than we thought possible.
- We know there's a hunting cabin in the woods.
- We know the legends of Eliza, the woman who died, who calls to people in the night, who is tied to the prophecy of the storm.
*Investigate why we're out in the middle of nowhere.*
Harrison Fordshadow and I forgot who are talking. They don't see us
We've totally disappeared in the storms!
FOlklore pamphlet of the town. Ghost of Eliza, settler from years ago, still stalks the forest in the night. Creepy drawings in the margins... of ghostly woman in a long dress.
WE get to the mines. Cornelius has seen creepy giant bugs here. We see spiderwebs.
Miner Pete is looking up at us with gaunt skin and blank eyes. He's not dead yet, but almost. He's fully formed. WE've gone over to the storm side. It happened a year ago for him.
After a while, the missing get tired of being missing and fade further. The storm takes people from the living, and also from the in between where we're at.
Eliza was the original missing person. She was looking for a child that had gone off in the night and was singing to her. The child came back, but she never came back.
Eliza Grayhawk
She actually had multiple children. Mara Grayhawk had gone missing a couple hundred years ago. She grew up, married, had family... long line of locals who are related to her. There's an ad in the pamphlet for the local Stormy Mountain museum. They have artifacts from the Grayhawk family, including items that belonged to her and to Mara.
We get to the village eventually.
The museum is a two storey building. Morgan manages to open the back door to the museum.
15 foot high ceiling, stacks of books, wax figures. I see a wax figure of a woman in a light paisley old timey dress. A book and a small child's stuffed teddy bear are there in a display case.
We find Eliza. She's in spectral form.
